In true SE-CEG fashion, starting to plan early. Would anyone be up for a summer meet at the dragon? I would like to go during the week to avoid weekend crowds. I also plan to go once school is out because I have some edumacated friends that may come. So any certain week after May 7th that would be preferable to ya'll? I should have a week of vacation time I can take, otherwise, I'll just quit.

My family is up for a meet. How 'bout Memorial Day weekend May 26th thru the 29th? Check the Dragon site for other events/meets to make sure it won't be too crowded.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 12/29/05 05:30 PM
That could work. There's nothing scheduled yet for that weekend.
Posted By: hsoverma Re: Summer dragon meet - 12/29/05 09:40 PM
Sorry for the ignorance, where is the 'Dragon'?

I may be in on this meet depending on the distance. I can bring some of the NC ppl as well.
Posted By: TourDeForce Re: Summer dragon meet - 12/29/05 11:24 PM
www.tailofthedragon.com

US 129 between NC and TN. 11 miles with no driveways or intersecting roads, and 318 turns. Loads of fun & you can really push your car. Just be sure your brakes are in top shape.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 12/30/05 02:01 AM
All the surrounding roads are awesome as well.

Definitely make sure your car is ready for it (decent tires and brakes). When we went in October, adam's 300zx brake fluid was crappy and boiled, leaving them with no brakes entering a corner. Though I had tools and brake fluid, so we did a quick road side brake bleeding.

Main thing is just not to overdrive your car. Never try to keep up with someone that is faster. I spun my contour around doing that and got my escort a little loose before backing off and just letting the faster car go on.

I will be up for a fall Dragon run.
Posted By: hsoverma Re: Summer dragon meet - 12/30/05 03:52 AM
Cool. Thanks for the link. My parents live on Signal Mountain, TN (near Chattanooga) and I drive from NC to TN and back often. I usually take I-64 (south of 129) and it is a lot of fun as well.

I totalled my Supra doing 95 in a 45 a few years ago on 64. ack! Never drove it since - too scared. The cop said when he got the call he thought he had another fatality since there had been several so far that year. (I hope that doesnt qualify as a street racing story)

Anyways, I am in, but I will probably take it easy. Sounds cool. Thanks for putting this together so early.

I'll be game to go Kremit. Either with the Contour or the new Triumph.

Oh yeah,

My wedding anniversary is May 10th, so I cant go if this is planned anytime around that. My wife would kill me to ride around in my car instead of hang out with her. She will probably want to come, anyways. (but hanging out doing the car thing is not her idea of romantic)

So, proabably late May, like the third of fourth week, would be better for me.

Thanks!
Posted By: GrandMasterKhan Re: Summer dragon meet - 01/02/06 12:35 AM
Yeah count me in for sure once again.

I will try and organize the Newcougar.org peoples to join us as well.

It was great last time Kremit! I look forward to running it again.

Of course proper organization would be ideal! That way we all will actually be able to meet up. Cell phone reception is Zero there. So I recommend we all stay at the MicroTel again. It was pretty cheap when we went.

Breakfast at Hardee's in Tellico Plains!! Or MD's in Robinsville...

Breakfast (although sorta crappy) is free at the hotel.

I'm thinking about it, maybe with the YZF.

Ross - you know I've got nothing better to do.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 01/24/06 02:00 AM
I'm trying to find out when school starts here (summer semester at tech school) so I can time everything just right (vacation, quitting job, etc.). Is memorial day weekend the best weekend for everyone or would something else be better?

Zach, you ain't gotta sleep in your car, we'll work something out.

Eric, yayyyy!
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 01/25/06 01:33 AM
It doesn't matter when to me.
Posted By: zm830101 Re: Summer dragon meet - 01/29/06 07:39 PM
i would have to imagine that memorial day will be VERY BUSY up there. i liked the idea of a week day run, even though it would be difficult for most to arrange. traffic wouldn't be nearly as heavy. either way i am in for anything
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 01/29/06 10:51 PM
Yeah memorial day weekend is probably a bad idea. I'd really like to go during the week as well. So anyone care to chose another date?
How about somewhere in the week of June 11-17?

And I plan to have a surprise.
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 01/30/06 10:49 PM
You plan to show up with a car that can handle the drive? JK Ross. Any weekend is fine with me; I won't be able to take a day offa work for a while since I just started this job.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 01/31/06 12:26 AM
Well if ya'll can pick the weekend before or after that week I posted. I should be able to get my vacation time and it's right before school starts and I'm gonna quit my job.

Just ask Zach if the car I brought in October could handle it.

But I'm trying to bring a different car every time I go.
Posted By: f-rice_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/01/06 12:51 AM
I need Koni's . send me a PM

i would expect anything that can barely go 15 miles an hour, like that turd, would handle it just fine

haha....actually the 'scort was haulin ass. the Z was havin a real hard time keepin up. until we got a little straight peice of road then it was tail grabbin yo ass:)
Posted By: zm830101 Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/01/06 01:33 AM
i like ross's idea. i say the 14 through the 18 of junio. that way, the buzz kills that like to clog up the dragon on weekends can still get their jollies off and those of us who just really like to drive it can tear it up wed and thurs
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/01/06 03:05 AM
I'm thinking we should get a cabin again this year (if enough people want to). But if I'm the one to set it up again like I did the in 04, I'll need money before hand for people wanting to stay. And since atleast a few of us will be up there for more than a couple of days, I wouldn't mind spending some of that time slightly inebriated with time to recover. With enough of us in a Cabin, it'll be cheaper anyways @ $85 a night (panther creek) or probably about the same elsewhere.

If any of the motorcycle guys like the idea of sharing a cabin, then you may want to look at www.tailofthedragon.com accommodations page for other cabins. Panther creek has a VERY steep gravel driveway.

All ideas/suggestions open.

So any objections to June 14-18?
Posted By: TourDeForce Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/01/06 05:51 PM
No objection here. I just need to figure out where I want to stay this time...
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/01/06 11:29 PM
That weekend sounds fine. Heck, maybe the wife'll let me drive the Golf up there.
Posted By: Loco4G63 Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/02/06 02:51 AM
Let's start talking about a Fall Dragon Run......I am in! I REALLY need some sticky tires before fall.
Posted By: hsoverma Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/04/06 02:46 AM
Anytime in June will work for me. I do a lot of autocross this time of year but I will cancel autocross plans for a dragon run. I will try to bring some local friends from NC along once we set a date. I have a buddy with a Scooby WRX, another with a 240SX with D2 coilovers he just put on, and another buddy with a trick MR2.

If everyone can agree on the June date, then set it.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/04/06 05:30 AM
Well, I think it's set. June 14-18. I've got other people that don't post on here that plan on showing up in various cars.

Hector, you know the fall run will be in October if you can't make this one.
Posted By: zm830101 Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/04/06 06:47 PM
june 14-18 it is.

as far as the living arrangements, i like panther creek, but i like the convenience of the microtel. but then again, the drive from the cabin is awesome . but you have to drive all the way to town for food, gas, etc.

Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/04/06 10:21 PM
We have a conundrum.
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/04/06 11:38 PM
Even though I now live further south than my parents' house, I'm actually closer to the Dragon than before. Living 1 mile off I24 ain't too shabby. Chub up and stay at the cycle lodge.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/07/06 01:05 AM
Are you talking about the bike motel right at the gap? I don't wanna stay there.

We're on the tail of the dragon calendar now.
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/07/06 03:07 AM
Why not?
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/07/06 03:37 AM
I don't like the parking there and whatnot. You can stay there, but I'll be in a cabin or the microtel.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/12/06 08:07 PM
There is a motorcyle group (ZX6E) that will be there that weekend. They are staying at the microtel and are generously allowing us to use their group name to get a discount at the microtel. Call 828-479-6772 by June 1 and tell them you're with ZX6E. I will be reserving one room and will probably be looking to share it (Zach?).

Damn, to close to SZ for me but as you know, I WILL BE THERE IN THE FALL, with friends, alot of em' (I hope ) BTW, we needs some info on the road thats about 1 1/2 hrs NE of there, I think its US421! The guy at the motorcycle shop (forgot his name and his shops) has a shirt for it hangin' up. Its supposed to be 15 miles long and has 500 turns, sounds like a good one to me!
Posted By: Klasse Act Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/22/06 12:33 AM
Please keep in mind the fall Dragon run, its NEVER to early to save/plan for that one guys (late Sept/early Oct)
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/22/06 12:48 AM
I may be getting a new job soon. Hopefully I can still be off for the summer meet. If not, then I'm gonna cry.
Posted By: TourDeForce Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/22/06 02:40 PM
Let your new empoyer know ASAP that you'd LIKE (as in respectfully request) a few days for a prior commitment. I did that in my job interview for my current work - worked for two months then took a month over the Christmas holidays to visit family in Maine (without pay).

My boss had no problems with accomodating me & was quite pleased that I let them know in advance of hire.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 02/22/06 05:18 PM
I'll of course ask, but the job is a temporary job and from what I've been told, they don't give you any days off. For what it pays, I don't think they'd have a problem finding more workers.
Posted By: gulfcat Re: Summer dragon meet - 03/16/06 08:39 AM
I regret I won't be able to make this Dragon meet -- my summer runs are going to be July 5 (maybe 3 & 4, too) on my way to CougarFest. Enjoy, and know I'll be thinking envious thoughts.

I saw this, btw, because GrandMasterKhan has a NewCougar.org posting about an April Dragon run he's trying to put together...

So... I'm watching for the fall meet thread -- really had a blast last year!

There's never a place where's innapproriate to drink. Just do it after you get it from running it a couple times at night.

Hitch a ride with a local, you won't need a drink.

Or ride with a local while your drunk. Fun, huh Ross?

Its going to be the end of Sept/early Oct, just like its been the past THREE YEARS I don't want the spring and summer to end too fast, but atleast we have something to look forward to though, ahh the joys of the Dragon! Hector, hope you tires hold up till then, mine will have about 12K on them by then, so I will not be able to push it as hard as I did last year

well not to "work" on anyone but i have a cabin off of 28 in Robbinsville in graham county and i would be willing to let a couple people stay there for free and anyonw who wanted to camp or what not do that there as well if they would be willing to help me out to finish my 3.0 swap intime for the run ... hwy 28 goes right infront of my house just about 3500 ft below me ... anyway maybe a good offer to some Polk County Locals on a budget i live in Winter Haven but the swap will go down in Haines City at my mom's house ... where i keep all the tools .. will be a good deal for anyone w/3.0 exp. and on a tight budget ...

Can't wait to see the pics from the summer Dragon run

For all those who have planned to come to the Dragon Run...would anybody be wanting/willing to do more than just the Dragon? I am a local to the area and have been all my life. So if anybody is interested/have any ideas let me know!

I'm takin' the family to hunt gems and view waterfalls. Please suggest a good gem hunting mine, if you know of one especially rich in gems. Also, any guide/suggestions you could give us for a good waterfall run would be cool.

I would also like to take my wife to see the remains of the old 'Fort' that was supposedly built by the Welsh back in the 12th century. You know where that is?

Nevermind. Found it near Manchester, Tn. If you're curious about the story, here is a link summarizing the legend of Prince Madoc.

I can't name any Gem Mines off the top of my head. But my parents probably would. I'll get back to you on that. As for the waterfalls, I can check on that too. A friend of mine's dad is pretty knowledgable about nature related things. So on that also, I will get back to you.

Coming up for like 4 days, so for sure. I was sorta planning on driving some of the other roads listed on the tailofthedragon website. Also, if there is any other things for a 20 year old to do that don't cost much, I'd probably be game.

I'm jealous

But atleast if you bring it, it'll keep the zx6e group from beating us up.

If you don't bring the csvt, can I borrow your brakes for the trip?
Posted By: CSVT.UA.SHO Re: Summer dragon meet - 05/05/06 03:45 PM
Well Kermit, also being a 20 year old, ihope that i can find something else for you to do. Other than being into contours, what are you into?

I have two hobbies, cars and drinking. Though I don't know that the mountains of TN/NC offer much in the way of drinking.
I like hunting and fishing, but not really looking to do it on the trip. Maybe if the rafting stuff looks fun/cheap enough, we could do that.
It's not a big deal if we don't find something to do. I've had a good time the past times just driving and meeting with other CEGers/anyone else that's up there.

Well, even though I am only 20, I am a Bartender at Ruby Tuesday. I also know other Ruby Tuesday bartenders in K-town so I may have some hooks there. While/if in Peigon Forge, my step-brother's dad owns a diner where I am sure i can get a discount if not for free. I'll run that by him later this week.

Ruby Tuesdays isn't exactly the place I like to drink at, probably best just to skip that. And I don't know how the area is with police and underage drinking, plus possibly driving,etc... I'm sure we'll have beer in the hotel room.
The diner thing sounds good.

Are there any go-kart tracks, arcades, or car museums around there?
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 05/09/06 02:02 AM
Let me go add up all my project cars...

Did I mention I work on 14.5L I6 Detroit Diesels all day? Beeg byoost!
I'm going to be coming south on the Dragon to Robbinsville on July 3rd (afternoon/evening) and staying at the Microtel until July 5th (morning) when I head through Deal's Gap to Indiannapolis. If traffic's not awful during the day Tuesday, I'll make some Dragon runs, or drive the Cherohola Skyway, as well as watching Independence Day fireworks in the evening.

Grandmasterkhan and I are going from Robbinsville to Indy in caravan on Wednesday, and a couple other Cougar owners have expressed interest, too.

If anyone else will be in that area at those times, I'd love to have company running through the Dragon.

PS - anyone know of a good go-kart track closer to Robbinsville than the one in Pigeon Forge, TN?
I just saw this thread about 2 days ago. I'm going to try to go, but It will be a virgin run for me, so I'm going to take it slow the first couple of runs, not to mention tne G/F riding along with me. She loves riding in my car going on twisties.

I love the Dragon website

Right on, I can't really blame you for that. If it weren't for the fact I work there, I wouldn't go there either. but back on topic. Tons of go-kart tracks in P.Forge. Nascar Speed Park is there (go-karts that can do 60 mph+) there is a class you have to take before-hand and last time I heard its 50-75 bucks a-go there. But tons of other attractions in P. Forge and Gatlinburg.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 05/09/06 11:56 PM
Cherokee, NC has a go kart track and is about an hour closer than pigeon forge.

What do ya'll think about going to that go-kart track and then another 20 miles up to http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/ museum?

I sort of prefer to do that on saturday to avoid the weekend traffic on the dragon, but whatever works for ya'll.

A buddy of mine in Atlanta plans to come with possibly two friends, most likely all on motorcycles.

Also, fast and furious 3 comes out June 16th. I know, not the best movie ever, but still maybe ya'll would wanna go see it.
Posted By: CSVT.UA.SHO Re: Summer dragon meet - 05/11/06 01:21 PM
I don't know if I will get "flogged" for this, but I am down for seeing it. There is a really nice movie theater here in Knoxville (Regal Cinemas Pinnacle 18) and I bet it would look pretty B.A. to see 10+ SVT (and other sweet rides) lined up in the parking lot. Count me in
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 05/11/06 04:21 PM
Knoxville is a bit far. Maryville appears to have a decent sized theater. Sylva and Franklin also have theaters but smaller.

I guess we'll have to find out when and where the movie will be playing. But im down for wherever.

Thank you very much. I've gotten a lot of compliments from that pic:

...and to stay on topic, here's my favorite Dragon pic. I took it on my way home; it's the very tail end of the Dragon on the Tennessee side; the lake is just around the bend.

I don't see myself missing that one. I mean, even if it is on my b-day....it'll be a good excuse to go. I work with people who are "into" cars but i honestly can say i have only met one other person who is into cars like i am.

for example...I like to change the oil before it hits 3000 miles just because i enjoy working on my car. I try to be so in-tune with my car. (anybody else share this with me?) I notice the slightest change in most engine noise. I am a car freak(and the general "car" term is slowly changing to SVT Contour freak)..but I love it!!!

You & Roger will get along FAMOUSLY! Roger is especially picky about the appearance of his car & it REALLY shows. Beautiful shine, maticulously kept.

I, on the other hand, am a hog. My car is a utilitarian device. I maintain it well mechanically, but since it got whacked by hurricane Wilma, I've been quite laxed about the appearance... That may change eventually...
Posted By: CSVT.UA.SHO Re: Summer dragon meet - 05/16/06 04:38 PM
I hope I can get a good wax job or two in before the summer meet.

I had a 92 Nissan Stanza....and when i first got it, I hated it. within 3 months of driving it, I started to really like the car. The guy we bought it from was the org. owner and it was very well kept. I would spend 3-5 hours every saturday cleaning it, tinkering around with it. (My g/f at the time didn't like that one bit!..and it may seem to explain why im single now)

I have started to devolope a passion for cars.

Never go by yourself. That's a good way to end up at the bottom of the mountain and have no one looking for you. In a group, you'll turn up missing pretty quick; since there's no exits or side roads.

Good advice from one who knows!

I still haven't made my hotel reservations. Where is everybody stayin'?
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 05/27/06 08:53 PM
I did a little upkeep on my car today. The following things are broken/ruined:

1) O2 sensors throwing any code you can imagine
2) lower front O2 sensor rubbed hole in bottom of oil pan; leaking
3) front tires' belts showing; rears' slightly better shape
4) driver's front brake rotor has two neat rings cut into the rotor face

So I'm gonna park it, again, for a while, again, so I can round up some parts:

1) 4x O2 sensors
2) baffled oil pan, oil pan gasket
3) Y-pipe, then have an O2 sensor plug installed in a better location
4) 4x tires
5) 1x FSVT front rotor, 2x FSVT front pads

Then maybe, just maybe, I can get my car to squeak by the emissions test so I can renew my tags; since they expired September '05.

On topic: unless the O2 sensor fairy, y-pipe fairy, oil pan fairy, FSVT brake fairy, and tire fairies all decide to stop by my house soon, we'll be driving the Golf to the Dragon Run.

Far as I know, everybody who committed is still in, myself included. I'll be doing an early falls run, stopping by about 1/2 dozen wineries in TN, and making a run through Nashville to see the Parthenon & staying at Union Station for good measure.

GONNA BE A BLAST!!!!

Posted By: Klasse Act Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/05/06 11:20 PM
I remember the first trip down to the Dragon (03') and I had a stock suspension on the CSVT at the time and in the one shot it looked like I had H&R's I ordered the pics from my run down there last year in the Crossfire and even in that pics there's NO wheelwell gap to be seen in the pic, amazing. What's really cool about the spot where they take the shots is that you can see them far enough in advance to take full advantage and make your car "squat"

BTW, I love the comment about the Mirko, it needs to be in someone sig, seriously

I'm bringing the svt. Still working some more kinks outta it and getting it cleaned up, but it'll be ready. I have a room reserved at the microtel, are we gonna split it? I have a friend and maybe a couple of his friends coming (on bikes) that will stay there too. I won't be going up till Wednesday though. Call me or I'll call you or something and we'll get it figured out.

We all gotta set up some places/times to meet.
Posted By: Klasse Act Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/06/06 01:21 AM
Just to plant this idea now, can we all stay in Tellico Plains at Caney Creek Village cabins this fall? They have one cabin that sleeps 8, so those of you lookin' save some $$$$, there you go I just thought it would be cool to take over the entire area with car guys and not have anyone else to bother us...HUGE PARTY For those of you who don't know, the Cherahola Skyways starts in Tellico Plains and leads right into the Dragon, so this is why I stay there every year, plus the people that run it are very nice
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/06/06 01:31 AM
The only thing about that is it cost more than microtel. It works out only if you get enough people together to share a cabin. I'd be in for it, but only if enough people are definite about it 1 1/2 - 2 months ahead of time, and only if someone else is doing the reserving. I lost a little money the first year I went with reserving a cabin and having someone drop out.

The r1/r6 group will have 156 people there and the zx6e group will have about 30. And saturday a buncha bicyclists will be out there. But atleast it's sports bikes, shouldn't slow us down much.

My only suggestion to fix that problem is for you to collect shares of the money before the event - non-refundable. They have a vested interest in showing & you don't get stuck with the bill if they drop out. More elbow room even.

If I can get the laptop working on-line, perhaps I will. Always good to visit with a fellow CEGer. My car isn't anything to fawn over just yet, but it's coming along.

I've gotta let you know that I'll have the family with me, so we'll be busy hitting the sights & sounds of Music City. Time will be in relatively short supply.

Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/09/06 02:23 PM
So anyone wanna nail down some meet up places/times? It doesn't matter much to me when/where. I plan to get to Robbinsville around 3pm Wednesday.

And if anyone needs a place to stay, I think I'll have extra room in my room at the Microtel cuz a friend that was planning on going probably can't make it now. And I'm not sure if Zach is sharing the room not or yet.

Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/09/06 08:28 PM
I know he's going, but I don't know what's he's planned. His phone ain't working good, so it's hard for me to contact him or him me I reckon. We'll get it figured out soon enough I hope.

Hardees at 8-9am friday sounds good.

Looks like I'll be there with the same brakes I had last time. teamfordlv.com deal went sour and I've got no brake upgrade to install. DAMMIT!!

Who wants to drive in front of me to make sure I don't go flyin' off the mountain??

Aw damn Jim. I should tow my car up there and put my brakes on your car for a few runs. Got any ATE Supah Blue fluid?
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/09/06 10:12 PM
You can let me use your brakes. I got half an ounce of ATE left.

Eric, bring your car washing/detailing stuff. I'll give you a few bucks to make my car look decent. It's bad and I tried to clean it up, but I suck at it.

PM me for cell number,, though I doubt I'll get service up there.

And I reckon we can meet saturday morning at hardees as well.

Ok, gonna try to make a list of times/places to meet up. I guess we can sorta put the itinerary together each day when we meet up. I plan to bring directions for movie theaters, go kart track, and various roads in the area (if printer ink gets here by tuesday).

Wednesday: 4pm @ microtel by my dirty svt
Thursday:
Friday: 9am Hardees
Saturday: 9am Hardees

We both have to work during the week, but we will be there ASAP Saturday morning. That's why we're wanting to know meeting times and places.. LOL, I could see it now - we'd be going east and the rest of you west - and there's not exactly a place to turn around!!!!

Okay.. Knoxville locals - me and Brad, Trey, Brian and Tommy.. Who else? Any one I'm forgetting? Anyway - Knoxville/Maryville locals whats the plan? Apparently 9AM Hardees on the NC side is the Saturday meeting spot. Do we want to try to meet up at like, Foothills Mall at 7:30AM then head over there? Toss out ideas.

It doesn't really matter where we meet as long as we meet, not like we can't drive somewhere else to eat. Or it's possible everyone can eat wherever they chose before we meet.
Posted By: Nightwolf Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/14/06 02:20 AM
OK as far as comunications, i think the FRS is the best idea so far, as cell's wont work up there. WEll i also think channel 18 on the GMRS radio's. as i said i will have a few extras. Also guys that are going up saterday morning i think it would be a good idea to meet at the mall, at like ohhh 0730
as to allow one and a half hours to go across to meet the other guys at hardee's or windy's or where ever.

I will also have with me some polishes and some REALLY good tire shine for sale, cash only please.
Ask Icysvt and svt.ua.sho about the polishes and hand glazes.

they will be $5 a bottle.

I will have my tires done in the tireshine so you can see touch, heck lick if ya want to :P

This stuff is cool, its by LORD. The makers of Fusor if any of you guys are into autobody repair you have most likely used one of their 2 part epoxies and know it is the best on the market. This tireshine is no exception. it will be $35 per kit, that kit will last a year and shine them for 6 months at a time.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/14/06 02:34 AM
I'll buy some stuff if you wash my car, wax and polish it while we're up there.
Posted By: Nightwolf Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/14/06 02:57 AM
If you buy a tireshine and a bottle of polish i will polish it . You gotta wash it though

ya know eric, if you hadn't been sniffing the zaino that is trapped under your fingernails you would have been able to join us!

just wanted to say that you were missed...maybe in the fall.

as to those of you who WERE in attendance, it was nice to meet and run with you. see everyone in the fall:D

Good to meet ya'll TN folk and hang out with Jim and his family and Zach again.
Zach and I decided at next CEG dragon meets, everyone has to participate with us drinking beer at the microtel while watching the robbinsville youngsters drive up and down the road. It's more entertaining than it sounds.
Now get over to pics and vids and post some stuff.

Brad and I were thinking that it would be cool to get a cabin in the area (Pigeon Forge?) for the fall run. Make it like friday night- sat and sunday. That way we're not all staying in different places and we're get to know each other even better. If we play our cards right, splitting the price between all of us wil end up being cheaper than a hotel.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/19/06 03:24 PM
I'm fine with a cabin as long as we have enough definite people maybe require a deposit sent to whoever reserves it. Roger recommended caney creek cabins in tellico plains.
Posted By: Nightwolf Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/19/06 03:55 PM
That sounds good i think i will go ahead and call about it and see how much it is going to cost us.

ALSO! Ross, what were those codes that you pulled on my car?

and any advise on making changing the motor and trans mounts?
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/19/06 03:59 PM
IIRC they were 0401 and 0402 EGR insufficient and excessive.

I'd go with pole120's mounts. I haven't changed mine yet, but they don't look very hard to do, especially the rear one.

Hey Zach, the rears are still rubbing and cutting, looks like cutting wheel is gonna make an appearance. I also found where the front is rubbing, just a small part of the fender liner on the driver side, it'll rub through.
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/22/06 01:31 AM
Wheels rubbing? Suxsorsy. Ditch the wheel-well liners.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Summer dragon meet - 06/22/06 03:24 AM
It's the fenders... they be cutting junk. I don't quite wanna ditch the fenders. Darn svt.
