The night before, a bunch of us our going down to Cecil to run the 1/4. Feel free to come to either.

US 19 lets you do anything you want basically, take your hood off, etc.

Ok, noone is going to Cecil, but the albany event should be pretty good. Actual races may be longer than 1/8 mile as it's basically a street race but legal. The track used to be 1/4 mile, and they only sold about 200 ft of it to a trailer park, so really a street car could probably run the whole 1/4 mile and have time to shut down.

Hmm. I'm very interested in this. I might even be able to get one or two other guys to come and race this one. Cross your fingers that this car gets up and running before then and then I'll probably be on my way.

Let me know if you need anything. If you want my cell number, PM me. I don't get off of work till 5, so I'm gonna get cleaned up and then haul butt out there. It'll be really cool to see you surprise everyone with your contour.
Our track is decent (not best but not worst) and you should be able to run as many times as you like. I'll be betting on you, so make sure you hit the shifts good.

If war goes I am coming down I wanna see a 3L Turbo run the 1/4.

Well it's sorta the 1/8... either way, I'm sure you'd wanna see it.
Anyone needing a place to stay, you can sleep in my yard. Kidding, I have a spare bedroom,

but seriously you have to sleep in the yard, my mom doesn't like strangers. IDK, but if someone seriously ends up needing a place to stay, she MIGHT would be ok with you staying here.

I'm really dying to get the car running and race it on the track.

I have 235 series tires on it now and I've never run them at the track, last time I raced it was on 215's.
I'll have different cams installed, 70mm TB, 42# injectors and of course actual headers this time versus the modified manifolds.
These things all together should really give me some serious power. Only problem is that I still need a dual stage boost controller.

A dual stage bc would definitely help as would drag radials . I'm sure a few cars there will be beating you to the finish, but you'll be going faster when you get there. They're used to my contour, so they think all contours are slow. I think their jaws will be on the floor when they see you run.

Now you're talking. I just got the new lower control arms in yesterday, new pulley on the timing cover and my wiring harness fixed up. I'm going to drop the motor back in this morning. Then will be some more pipe fabrication with the engine in the car, hopefully not too much more work.

Oh well, at least when its done I'll have an almost complete set of turbo pipes for sale! Maybe as soon as a week or two.

Car's running pretty good. I'll need to tighten up a few odds and ends and finish some stuff over the next week or so, but it looks awesome right now! I'll have to get the wideband in it and start seriously tuning it soon so that I can feel confident at the track that I won't blow something.
Thinking about going up to NOPI if I still have time.
