Looks like things at Josh's place are not looking too good. He cannot stress enough to me how the wifey is being a little difficult about things. Therefore, let's come up with some ideas for PPP 05', and depending on location, we will change the name accordingly. Ft. Meyers still seems cool, but we need some ideas on place & time. Florida people welcome to provide input...

Yeah, come on FL guys name a spot and I am there. Also if all else fails lets go to FL have a meet and sleep on the beach
yes i say we do it close to the beach, i am up for getting a cheap room and having a party room as well.
I dunno man, we'd be gettin' pretty expensive.

My cost THUS far roundtrip will be

Almost 400.00 in gas + food, oil change, etc.
If we have to get a hotel, I'm sorry, I'll have to fly out to Miami or whatever, man. I love ya guys and all, but man... thats a lot of green for only a day and a half of partying.

Unfortunately, I am currently living in my little hole-in-the-wall 1-room apartment and my 2 properties are rented out till at least January . If you guys don't mind bringing inflatable matresses and sleeping on the floor like sardines I guess it can be at my house and we can go out for cruises from there...

The dormitory room in my apartment is not being used to sleep as I have adopted the futon in my living room as primary sleeping quarters so I guess the twin bed in the room can fit a couple such as Chris and Nickie, and the floors will suit many a traveler as long as the matresses fit. Not sure what my landlord would say about 10 Contours outside my apartment, but I can talk to them about it...not that I am sure even 5 Contours would fit to begin with...

Either way I would like my pad to be a plan B option... Holla

it dosent matter to me as long as i have a small piece of floor and a shower for the morning we are all good. i say we gte a double room somewhere and a bunch of us pile in it

I suppose that would work alright with me. Damn, the more and mroe I think about it, I almsot would juse fly... 1600 miles one way, thats alot of miles.

Phewy... I'll start up a PPP 05 savings account today and add a chunk of change every week. I'll see where I end up towards mid July and the estimated cost for the trip and make a decision then to fly or drive.

I can divide the number of Countours by half into my house. That is 5 Contours at my place and 5 at the local Telly sharing a double bed room (now now ladies settle down there ). 2 Contours fit on my driveway, and 2 to each side of the road-side grass strip so I guess that's 5 plus mine .

Chad you best save some money foo cause without Stryped there is no purpose in coming! LOL

Ok, Here is what I know.

If your looking for long term 3-5yrs highland pines is where it's at % wise. I will look for a small lake lot for you also.

Placid lakes is also good.

The short money is in sun-n-lakes new roads two golf courses and a expanding utility system. The risk here is in the bond issues that can = 12,000 or more so we have to ck to see when water/sewer will hit your lot. Why pay for it if you will get no us from it.

I am a Realtor.

Yeah, so I'm a bit slow...
go to your car on the passenger side and look under the glovebox, you will have to pull that side carpet piece out which only take like 5 seconds then it will be a big sticker on the pcm itself. should read something like jr103 i forget how many numbers and letters but there are only a few. when you get that pm me with it and i will tell you if its right then you can call wayne and get it done brother

The code is a 4 character alpha-numaric combination (i feel smart). X, mine was XGT1, but I don't know if they use the same computers in a batch of cars or if they change computers for each computer. Where are you getting the chip from? ADC or a SCT flasher?

Chip is actually cheaper at $259 so you can hold your comission opportunities for the next SVT victim that falls your way!!!

JK man
dude he will burn you a chip too. i have a chip!!!and i dont make anything off anything he sells, i just like to help a brother out ya know. i am serious you wont see hardly anything from thier chip, but from waynes you will. ask chad he drove my car. ask him how hard it pulled.....

BTW...my stand alone engine management system is on the way (since we're talking about chips and ECUs and what not). I took the check over to the guy last nite. I have set a mojor goal for me and my car....be the first Contour into the 12s in the 1/4 mile. I will be successful. And it WILL be soon! I love being determined!

Oh yeah, I'm going to have a S-AFC for sale if anyone wants it. Let me know and make an offer. It's the old style, not the S-AFC2. I'm also going to have some gauges for sale, and probably the gauge pod. Let me know.

After it blows up in your face, please inform me on where you got the replacement engine, since doing a 3L from the bottom up is my next project.
hehehehehehe, how much did that cost ya there robert...and hey did you buy it from brian earl spilner, lol
Posted By: RobSVT-t Re: Ideas for Powdercoat Poultry Party 05' - 06/23/05 03:55 PM
I'm not going to blow my eninge. Hence the reason for the stand alone. I'll be able to turn up the boost and have the timing automatically retarded for the boost pressure. I'm removing the MAF sensor all together and replacing it with a MAP sensor. This system is as good as the AEM EMS...if not better. The car is getting tuned by a professional anyway. I'm not going to try and do it myself, that'd be crazy. And besides, I'm already planning on building a 3L fully built engine this coming year anyway. But i will be the first into the 12s, even if I have to break [censored]. I'm going to shut all the effin haters on this board up! I WILL be successful. The other thing is that I will also be putting on an Air-to-Air intercooler, that way i can run higher amounts of boost with lower charge temps.

Maybe that's a good idea...
Ok guys/gals just got back, My friends relitive said they could do a double for 59.00 a night all the rooms we need, no problem on parking or hanging out. This is located in sebring about 14 miles from lake placid. If you want to move up to a lakefront motel in Lake placid I can get that for us for 75.00 per night Lake Grassy Motel. All rooms have two beds and there is 9% tax. I drove over to sebring race track and was really impressed maybe we can get the auto-x guys there to let us practice with them on sat morning.

There is a big park and boat ramp at lake june for us to have a BBQ and we can arrange for a big pontoon boat or jet ski rentals also.

Time is running out last weekend in July.

I don't get it, you are complaining about both meets being back to back, but are also complaining about the one after Lake Placid being right at the start of your fall semester? I can imagine your doctor appointment being your only impediment for the second meet...

I mean, I don't know what you reffer to as "back to back" since there is a 30-day+ separation between the two, and unless you are a business traveler or car salesman, making preps should be a cinch. Regarding the financial side of things, you have the option of riding with other CEGrs from your area with small gas contributions being your only expense, so not too much excuse there.

Maybe we should just postpone the entire meet till next summer, and maybe that will give you plenty of time to compose a travel plan, and good master-mind excuse for last minute bail-out..."back to back"
Yeah c'mon guys. I've got to save up the most for this trip and clear a few days off my work schedule for this. Mos tof you guys have less than 10 hours a drive, a coupel tanks of gas, and maybe a day off work, I have to take 3 days off and drive a combined amount 3300 miles which is 10 tanks of gas, which is about 300.00 in gas alone. I can't be going back and forth on dates if I'm expected to drive down there...otherwise I don't come/I fly. By NEXT Friday, I HAVE to have a concrete date to give notice...otherwise, I will have to "bail".

As of right now.... flying is starting to look a little bit better IMHO.
chad you hearby will NOT fly, you must bring the striped svt down and thats an order

LMAO, you ARE Big Baby!

Right now, here's where it stands.

REGARDLESS, flying or driving will actually cost (get this) the same. I searched SEVERAL online travel palces and the BARE CHEAPEST I could find from Detroit to Miami is 319.00 round trip. The only thing I would be saving is time (2hr 15 minute flight). As much as I would LOVE to have my ride down there... I dunno guys, being able to spends a TON more time down in the dirty south is starting to sound VERY intising. . [censored], I dunno anymore, guys. . WOnder what kinda rental car I could get! . Maybe a duratec Taurus!

Just reserved the nights of the 22nd and 23rd at the Safari Inn . It is a double queen and $75.00 a night although I am sure Sleeper will workout the discounts later, I just reserved it to ensure it wouldn't slip away. I am officially taking room-splitting offers now, so whoever want's to jump in this room with me holla at a thug!!!

X, there is a reason Spring Zing only happens once a year.

RE: Financial situation. There are no other CEG'ers in Savannah. The closest to me is Ross in Albany, and he's not going. Somebody from Ryan's crib or the NC area would have to make double time to get to Savannah and then down 95 which adds several hours to many people's already lengthy travel time. None of you from Florida were willing to do the same thing when all I asked for was a tag team partner to go to Ryan's with. I'm not whining that nobody will take me. But I am saying that I would have my doubts as time gets closer.

There are 33 days between the last meet at Ryan's and the meet you guys are planning. For a lot of people, that's only two paycheck periods. And then to plan another one in the works for August sounds a bit much. Plus the annual Dragon Run meet in October. I'm all for SE getting back together, but this is a bit much a bit too fast. I wouldn't be surprised to understand that some people are seeing this almost as if you guys are walking in and trying to take over.

And I'm only 19. I'm still paying off on a previous car that I don't even own anymore. Plus a minivan payment that isn't exactly "used car" price. $371.92/month, if you're dying to know. And insurance every six months. Moreover, since the car is financed, I'm forced to carry full coverage. Being a 19 year old male, that doesn't come cheap either. Not to mention tutition this fall. That's another grand and change out of my already-thin pockets.

I'm also settling the score with my local Kia dealer due to an accident in their service bay parking area. The damage itself is extremely minor considering what I've been through in the past, but it's still an annoyance on a car that's merely 2 years old. Black stripes on my tan bumper, a wildly arcing crease right in the center of the sliding door and two curbed wheels. TWO. That's not cheap to refinish. And unfortunately, money doesn't grow in my backyard the way it does with some of you other guys.

Yeah, yeah. I'm not doing anything right now but bitching though. I'll make it to a meet when I make it to a meet.

You guys do what you want. I'm glad you can afford to.

-SAV
hells yeah i cant wait for this meet even though that x guy likes boys and is a looser, and naw logan i wont be able to make it to cougar fest, my wife would kick my azz if i even asked. so i am not going to, but lets get back to the loosers all of ytou i dont like any of you i wouldnt ever invite you to my house.hehehehehehehe naw yeah josh you are right since we all know eachother it makes it even cooler. like seeing an old friend then kicking him in the junk, good times. i welcome you all aboard the pain train, all aboard choo choo...lol

No reason to get all complicated. All you need is a credit card to reserve a room and they will not charge it until you check in. This is not rocket science guys, it's just a way to get some rooms reserved just in case the event of a no-vac, that's all.

LOL I guess your the richest person here ! I got a quote of 450.00 to pull out my transmission. I'm don't think I can even spare the 300.00 for a fidanza !!! much less a new clutch ..

Total damage for me is $1000.00 and thats with a small oil leak and a AC leak , bent rims and a bad tire .

so WHY are you the only one who has reserved a room ...Well here is your answer .

Josh don't even come with that BS cause you was wiping your ass in Benjamins before my ass was even potty-trained. Anyway, this is not about money guys! It is a well known fact that hotels/motels do not charge your credit card until you check in so what can it hurt to be better safe than sorry and call in a reservation? You can always cancel last minute if you decide to pull a SAV, so the margin for excuses in not reserving now is pretty slim...

X, I'm getting a little tired of you trying me about not going to the last meet. As far as I'm concerned, you're still relatively new around here, despite what your post count may say about you.

It may not be the case for you, but a lot of people can't get off work when they want and spend what they want to go where they want. If Josh can't go because he can't afford to, he can't go because he can't afford to.

As far as me, I already said I'll make it to the next SE meet, depending on where it's going to be.

Waiting to hear word on my total bill as I patiently wait for the Ford dealer to call and tell me my car is done... . If it's more than I was expecting, I may have to pass. School is coming up VERY quickly and tuition is getting JACKED UP to hell. If anything, I thougth about just flying, but [censored], flying will cost me MORE than driving. Naw, I've only been workin here for a month. Unless they move me again, which is possible, i'll be workin that weekend. I wanted to come down and meet all you crazy kids, and have some fun. I haven't really had a vacation in about 4 years, a couple of business trips that were pretty wild but no real vacation. I'm gonna go ahead and swap the engines, and pull of some stuff to get powdercoated , and just hope something happens before then! I'm not worried about a place to stay b/c Like I said my bro said he is about 18 miles from Lake Placid.

I wish! I wish! I wish! I wish! I wish! I wish! I wish!

That was flying from Detroit to Miami.

I can fly from Detroit to Atlanta for $223.00 roundtrip with no stops. .

I dunno guys, it's really hard to decide. I REALLY wanna go down for the shindig, and ofcoarse it is much better when my car is there. But consider this:

If I drive

Leave Thursday 5:00PM for Atlanta
Arrive at Ryans house 4:45AM Friday Morning.

We roll out Friday early afternoon to make it to FL Friday around 10:00PM

We party late Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night and me and Ryan Leave Early Sunday morning,

We arrive in Atlanta around 9:00PM and I rest til early Monday morning.

Leave Ryans house at 10:00AM to make it back to MI by 10:00PM.

If I Fly

Leave DTX Airport at around 6:30PM Thursday evening and arrive in Atlanta at 8:00PM.

Me and Ryan consider leaving for FL around that time to make it to FL Friday morning. We rest and party the weekend away. We leave FL Either Sunday or Monday and I fly back to Detroit either day late.

Flying is looking pretty tempting right now. . But, I dunno. This sucks, why do I live 23.4 hours away, lol.

The wet systems are, in general, as far as just slapping the sucker on and being done with it, the safer way; but the way my boy is going to do the dry system, it'll have multiple back up systems involved. He said it is the safer way than slapping a wet system on. A lot of how safe nitrous is is in the install and tuning! If you don't get it tuned correctly, you will blow ur engine, plain and simple, same as if u don't get a turbo tuned, u'll blow the engine. Parts are 15%, install is 5%, and tuning is 80%. Without a properly tuned setup, nothing is safe.

Ahhhhh tuning shmuning....just throw a 200 shot and be done with it........no seriously though tune that mofo....i didnt have mine tuned right and i had to rebuild the engine....trust me when i say tune it.

I dunno... I had the Naaaaawwwwwwzzz kit all tuned and stuff in my last CSVT, and I did a 100shot with a wet kit and I think it was just TOO much for the engine. 75 shot is kinda pushing it, too. I wouldn't throw anything higher than 50 unless you were racing for cash money or something. Because a few 100 shots will more than likly require EXTENSIVE maintenance, tuning, and rebuilding on a consistant basis. So, what woudl I get??

Well, if you are a balla', I would suggest getting the VCN-2000 (abotu 1600 bucks). That is what I have ordered right now. ALL computereized and probably the safest and most reliable nitrous kit on the market.

What woul dbe a close 2nd?

The ZEX wet nitrous kit (about 500 bucks). Damn near as safe, but not computerized/ shuts off if detefcting a lean/rich condition.

I ordered the VCN-2000 kit a month ago and have yet to recieve the dman thing (hard to come by, on backorder right now) because I plan on racing qutie often. I will more than likly sell this beast when the smaller ADC turbo comes out because I enjoy autocross much more.

Oh yeah, holla' at yo boyz!

Posted By: RobSVT-t Re: Lake Placid Pleasure Trip 05' - 06/30/05 08:35 PM
It's just a matter of getting the air fuel ration correct. NOS by Holley makes on of the safest kits available, not nearly as complex as the Venom kit, but you pay mondo bucks for Venom. A hundred shot would be the limit without getting serious tuning capabilities (i.e. standalone or the pro racer package from SCT). It's a matter of using it wisely and properly maintaining the system to prevent failures. As long as it's properly maintained, it should last for ever. As well as the proper tuning. 75 shot would give decent increase in power and a safe margin. It basically boils down tuning.

Ryan, still not sure what you are refering to. The prototype stand alone for my car? or the nitrous set up?

Robert

the nitrous setup. if its a 1 off then there needs to be a prototype done to make sure all the kinks are worked out and everything is funtioning correctly
Posted By: RobSVT-t Re: Lake Placid Pleasure Trip 05' - 06/30/05 09:10 PM
It has been done before. Alex (the guy who would be doing it, who's also doing my stand alone) has done it many times before. It's just extensive work. Fuel pumps, Boost-a-pumps, the kit itself, gauges, purge kit, and of course the labor. The pumps are to make sure that fuel pressure and flow are maintained to keep from leaning out. Upgraded injectors are recommended but not nessecary.

Where are you taking the tour to have the tranny removed ?

That's cool and all, but it'd be even cooler to get it to fade from the silver to the carbon fiber. But hey, just an idea.

I am leaving for lake placid in about 30 min, I will go by the safari inn and take some pics. I will also map out a scenic drive we can all take around the lake. Looks like sebring speedway will be spectator only but it is still fun to watch. There is a rd that I know of that we can run that will satisfy all, tight sweepers and long strightaways.

Okay guys listen up, this is not just another "hurry up and reserve your hotel rooms post". I PMed Sleeper asking him for details and it looks like the tasty $62 a night +tax special will not apply if you guys wait till last minute to reserve lodging. He only has a window of bargaining power in a very limited timeframe, and it would really suck if you had to pay over $13 a night more just because you decided on providing a cheap credit card number to the reservations desk a day or two before. Sleeper stressed to me that there is a lot of movement in these two cities (Lake Placid and Sebring) this month, and in order to secure not only a room, but also a special rate, you must act quickly.

Remember guys, they don't charge your C.C. right away, they only do it when you check in, it's not War Of The Worlds let's get moving!!!

Just PM Sleeper your full name when your room is reserved with the name of the Hotel you chose (Lake Grassy Inn or the Saffari Inn) and you are good to go! BTW, I am staying at the SI myself, so if yall wanna be staying at the same place just call them and reserve the rooms. Don't forget to PM Sleeper your full name!

Holla at a thug!!!
Posted By: sleeper357 Re: Lake Placid Pleasure Trip 05' - 07/05/05 11:11 PM
If enough people would commit I will try to upgrade the hotel for the same price. Much better to say I need 7-10 rooms then 1-5. To those that have never been this area I will say this if you come you will like it......
I sure wish I knew if I was going or not LOL .......Only if my transmission could talk to me !! IR if i have someone to donate me a $1000.00 to waste on this car LOL
Posted By: ZetecTour Re: Lake Placid Pleasure Trip 05' - 07/06/05 12:23 AM
well sell me your hood, and you could use the money for the tranny
That will only pay for the labor !! I would still need another 600.00 + 200.00 for shift forks = a bit over $800.00 after the selling of the hood

My school is in Orlando. And then, depending on where there is a high enough demand and not a saturated market for the automotive aftermarket, I will move elsewhere. Miami is saturated beyond belief. As is the Orlando area. So I'm going to have to find some place that has a demnd and not a very high supply.

No reason eh.... what about that my car has been sitting in the same parking spot for 2 weeks because I may either have an open injector or a blown headgasket and I am waiting on a good mechanic friend of mine to come over and check it out for me.

Meh...I don't have it any easier than most of these guys. Financially, I have 2 mortgages, 1 home equity line of credit, 2 car insurances, 1 car payment, and rent where I live. Physically, my ass works 9-5 and I go to the gym every single day, but you still see me pushing and motivating... just making it happen man. It's all in the heart.

Maybe SE CEG just needs to go back to it's meet-dormant state that it has been for the past 8 years. All these back to back meets freaking everybody out as if this forum coming alive with meets was the biggest curse to mankind...

That post was not necessarily directed at Josh and yes Audi, I do appreciate the interest you and your buddy with the Subaru have displayed by joining up and lurking a bit, but we just generally need a growing enthusiasm. I was just using a personal example of how even I can manage to attent meets despite a few implications. Things just seem a bit of a downer lately here on SE CEG. Somehow someway, excuses find their ways into everybody's plans and it ends up being the same 3-4 Florida cars every single time.

I remember ZetechChris got a meet together about 3 months back that consisted of about 10-20 invitations here on SE, as well as via cellphone contact, and only me, Sam, robsvt-t, and Chris himself ended up going, just barely 4 cars . You just have to sacrifice sometimes for the things you have a passion for and love, as much as you do it for the things you need. I want to see and hang out with Josh as badly as he want's to reunite with SErs he met at Ryans so forth and so on. Just don't see that spark anymore that's all...

ALright guys.. time to put in the word. I will not beable to make it to Lake Placid PLeasure Party 2005. As much as I REALLY want to go, it's going to be VERY tight with my schedule. My sister is getting married August 12 and I also have to go out of town next weekend for business. As of right now... I REALLY don't see me being able to make th etrip. Taking time oiff right now seems damn near impossible... not that I can't have time off.. it would just MAJORLY screw me over with my current work load. I am really sorry to dispoint you guys and I REALLY wanted to come, but I officialy as of today have to withdraw. . If anything changes between now and the next two weeks, I shall let kyou know and be there lickity split.

Let's all just cross our fingers I can make it through this week and get MORE than I need done and get ahead of the game. On top of work, my house has been getting SEVERAL bites, there has literally been someone looking at my place every other day. So, it's been rough. As most of you can see... I haven't been the "post whore" X has taught me to be. . Hope we shall meet soon!
BLAH well kiss my ass then The life of the party has now bailed out ....Oh well now what we do ..

You can fly into RSW for very cheap man and still go ..

Yeah man, trust me I'll be down.. it's all a matter of when, though. I'm REALLY hoping to make this.. but like you siad, I need to take care of all my priorites before going on such a trip. Thats the sad and crappy thing about the field of architecture. One moment your dead, teh other.. piles of papers and drawings galore stacked on every inch of my desk (current situation)

Hahaha yeah man for real you don't know where they are going to build next! I swear this builders continue to get permits to build closer and closer to Krome, I really hope they leave the Everglades to the animals as it should be. It's one of the few natural wildlife resources Florida has left.

Regarding my real-estate, I got this Condo for $170k after down payment in 200K town, I have already made 35K on it and planning on sitting on it till it eventually gets to about 240-245k, then flip it. I wish I had more available credit left over cause I want to own some of Lake Placid but with my house in Cape Coral, this Condo, a HELOC, some credit cards, and a car loan, not much I can do right now...

Ryan can go suck it!

Did some flight research and I can fly to Atlanta, Ga or Miami, FL for the same cost. Roundtrip with Continental with 1 stop is $193.70 total according to my travel agent. This would put me at leaving 6:00AM Thursday morning, arriving in Miami at 11:30AM on Thursday. Flight would be leaving at 4:00PM Monday and will get me to detroit by 9:00PM.

Do you guys think I shoudl rent a car?! Or cna I count on one of you lazy as mofo's to pick me up?! . I was tlaking with Chris, I kind of liek th eidea of renting a car. I can get one through enterprise (LMAO, A KIA Rio/Chevy Aveo) for 14.00/day. . I can't begin to imagine what would happen to such a tiny car... would probably make me want to buy the 6.00/day insurance. .

Anywyas, I'm pretty much trying to plan this all ou tso that I KNOW when I need to make a decision and know when and where I'll be. I will tell ya, at this point, bringin' stry-ped is pretty much 100% out of question right now. Just from a $$$ standpoint, time standpoint, energy stadnpoint.... flying is SOO MUCH MORE benficial.
Posted By: ZetecTour Re: Lake Placid Pleasure Trip 05' - 07/07/05 05:45 PM

Still ligher than the 1400lb CRX with stock LS motor that pretty much toasted me 2 times, and "beat" me the third yesterday on my way to Sam's house. Hey I wanted to thank Sam for letting me test-fit a 20" rim on a stock strut. Sam it was good to see you after so long since the last meet man, hope that LP it happens again! Well anyways, I got good news ladies & gentleman! The 20" wheel with 225/30/20 tire fits with an almost remaining 1.2 inch of clearance before the spring perch!!!

After Chad's description of his "hubcentric ballon" wheel size tester (LMAO ), I was a little skeptical of going back to regular struts & springs. Still, I thought there was only one way to convince myself once & for all. I decided to go out and field test the real thing to not only get me out of doubt, but non-believing CEG'rs as well. Progressive suspension here we come!!!

OKay.. next question.

7.5" wide with what size offset?

Oh... Good friend of mine makes CUSTOM rims (I'm talkin CNC machined out of T60 Aluminum) and he can make you some 28" with a 4x108 pattern in any offset you like!

He just cut these yesterday.

28"x9.5"

Lemme know when you're ready.

Holy mother of phuucks! That shyt is insane!!! I have heard about 28s but never saw them in profile like that!!! Okay, tell your friend to make me a set of 22x7.5 and I will order the new Kuhmo 225/20/22 right away!!!

Oh yeah, BTW, my 20's are +38mm for offset and don't rub with GC all the way down .

38?! Damn. He'll cut you a fuggin miami vice emblem in a set of rims!

He does, however the only reason I refer to it as "stock" is becuause it's a strut that has not been modified as in with my Koni's. The factory-height spring perch is the same on all aftermarket struts, so measuring it on his car is the same as measuring it on a stock strut

Well, don't know if you guys missed this post, but it looks like I will be bailing out of this one if I cannot come up with a front end for my car, and get it fixed on time. The good news is that Drerok contacted me with one last Cobra R front remaining in stock that just needs some simple refinishing touches to look beautiful again, so that shortens up bodyshop time BIGTIME. Just need to go out and get a grill plus 2 headlights...

You Assumed. You know what they say about that...

If I am an ass for being offended by you comparing people not being able to come to a car meet to a terrorist attack that killed thousands of people, then I will gladly be an ass

And thanks Ryan, even though I am only 20 years old and don't know anything, I got it.

Not really, just comparing the crumbling of a building in general to it. Will it lower your stomach acid levels if I would of said "demolition of the Brickell towers, Miami for new development?". Too many words so I used a shorter illustration. You took things too far, that's basically it. Next time, try to use context to help you see the target idea, and avoid some heartache.

You can only attempt to do so much to resussitate a region that was dead before you got here. Things have, continue, and always will go back to the way they are and one or two members with high ambitions, big wheels and egos to match aren't going to change it.

Well a member with a big heart, generosity, and dedication put together one of the most successful meets CEG has had period, nonetheless the SE section. A meet that also involved some atendees making a 756-mile journey to make it. Meanwhile, an individual that was a measly 200 miles away and did not go has the nerve to waste 4 sentences of complete gibberish against their own geographic section of this forum. Get a life... and get one quick Chris.

yes that was a great meet and we will have more to come, but who has that big heart and dedication you are talking about, lol

I have one, thanks for minding your business. And it consists of a hell of a lot more than bitching about how people didn't go to a car meet.

There is a line between having passion for something and obsessing about it to the point of forcing others to lose interest in it. And you're starting to pack your stuff and move to the side nobody cares to talk about.

I'm with Cameron on this one. You get so psyched about crap that shouldn't even get under your skin. It's a car meet. You're not getting free money, there's no tits to see, and it's not going to alter the rest of your career. They're nice to go to, but they're not that big a freakin' deal if somebody misses one. We've had this talk before and I've already told you that I don't appreciate you baggin' on me for not going. I didn't go, and I had a legitimate reason for not doing it.

Yeah, it's great to have a big meet. But when you schedule them back to back, it's not gonna happen. Do yourself a favor and get over it.

Oh and by the way smartass, it was only two sentences, not four.

Strange how you reply only to the very closing statement of my post and completely ignore the target idea, but I will humor you...

I remember expressing dissapointment, not "bitching".

What sucks more is when you're the original organiser and you miss the meet. Done that three times now.

That is the same one where people don't support what they organize right?

So THAT's why you never go to meets

A sentence as in a line. Rocket science not a necesary profession to figure that one out. I view my windows collapsed since I have a life and work hence toggle between many programs at a time. Yes, have a life and a smartass at the same time. Rare find.

Also SAV, my Contour is out of comission , and I am still going. Not because it's a meet, not because there will be titties, and not because I will get free money. I am going for a nice weekend with my girlfriend and some accompanying friends. The fact that a meet was going to take place and I would be able to see most of the great people from the last meet was an added bonus.

As my response to Ryan implied (which you also missed ), I understand when implications prevent one from attending a car meet, don't know why you continue to insist that I "b!tch" about it. It is OKAY to be dissapointed after 430 posts in a thread that started with many plans and ended barely with 2. Just some more brown pennies...
