I'm being a grown up man today. I decided that there really isn't a need for me to go to English class. The time I would have spent reading Hamlet for the fourth time in five years would be much better spent surfing the CEG network. Really, even though English is my dedicated major, I can not stand what we're going through right now...all the literature and such. I'm much more of a grammar guy. I love writing essays and stuff, more than I do sitting there discussing some pathetic love story.

This just proves the greatness college has over high school. I can cut class and nobody gives a hoot. I'm sitting here in Starbucks right now, sipping a hot chocolate with a triple shot of espresso and connected wireless to some network on campus. A little while ago I was sitting in the van outside of the dorm rooms and tapped into a wireless connection that had three other computers on it. You wouldn't believe the amount of porn that was coursing back and forth between these computers! Then again, it might have been a male dorm room, so that would make it much more realistic...

I wasn't watching porn though! I have better things to do. SE-CEG is my porn!

Anyway, big news today. I'm not exactly sure if most of you know or not, but check this thread from back in July 2003 about having Type 1 Diabetes. Well, today I go into the endocrinology department for a pump evaluation and training. I'm getting switched over to the pump, so I won't have to do actual shots anymore. Instead, I'll be getting a constant supply of insulin relative to the amount of food I decide to eat or not to eat throughout the day. It sounds like a wonderful thing! But I'm still a little worried. The newest monitor/pump they might put me on requires surgery to insert a AAA battery-sized transmitter below the skin around the abdominal area. It will relay my current blood sugar level to the pump attached to a clip on my belt and the pump will feed the needed insulin through a tube into my skin. Sounds slightly painful at first, but I think it's worth a try. I'll be first to admit that I've been getting a little careless lately as far as managing my sugars. Hopefully this will help bring everything back into the ring, but it's not as if I'm raging out of control...yet.

Best deal out of this (take notes Ross) is that I'll be able to indulge in alcohol without worry! Not that they provoke that kind of thing...

Turning the page, (and I don't care what any of y'all Tennesseey's or Mississipians or Floridafreaks have to say ) I've got just about enough to make a good down payment on a new car. Mum's agreed to help with insurance since it will be more on a new car rather than a used, but I'll have to manage my own financing and everything, so I can build a reliable credit history. Anyway, since I'll be eligible for a myraid amount of discounts because of "owner loyalty" the parentals and I have reached a conclusion and I've chosen a red Kia Spectra5 as the new ride. 5-speed MTX with a sunroof and cruise control. I can't bear to have a car without a sunroof after having three in the family that had them, so I had to go with that. If I'm making the cruise up to Tennesee in June then I want some freak'n cruise. I can do without floormats or leather seats and I do my own stereos so that's not a big deal either. Mum likes it because it has six airbags standard. Dad likes it cuz it's red. I like it cuz it's red. And a warranty is what I'm after here, so I don't want to hear how I should be looking through the classifieds for a CSVT.

Focuses were too much equipped the way I wanted to (SES or ST, no less), Toyota's are akin to visual novocane for my eyes since they're so dull, and I'll never buy a Honda. I counted 267 Civics alone in the big parking lot this morning. I didn't see a single Spectra5 and only five Focuses, all SVT 2-doors. Must be the time of day or somethin'.

Y'all have a good time on your little Huntsville meet. Pump the big guns Eric and eat some extra BBQ for me! Ross and I will be busy draining our minds during spring break.

Since I'm being so random here, consider this the kick off to the ultimate random topic. I'll even credit SC-CEG (Ray, Josh, Pale Horse, TR and the Hightowers...ahem) for the idea.

Aaaand...discuss! (it doesn't even have to be anything relating to what I've typed up here, but the girlie just called up and wants me to take her up to a restaurant in Pooler. That's a 30 min ride, so it's time to end this and go get me some RH along the way. )

If there is one thing i have found in college it is that class is overrated...

But then again so is keeping the hope scholarship

Congrats on getting a new car, although the minivan was pretty pimp. I will forever envy your sunroof, as I have one of the apparently 20 svts in the entire south that don't have one

Have fun on your date and good luck with the RH.

On another note, SE CEG needs more boobies
This thread sux! Where is the nudity?

Our only female around here doesn't post often enough for such things.

I provoke it. Dood, is your spring break same as mine? Don't be workin on st. patty's day dood. Ima come down there and hopefully not get arrested. I need a better fake ID, if cops are checking them like I heard, I definitely won't get a drink. But if bars check them, might be able to find one that will take it. It's just on a piece of photo paper and has to stay in my wallet, and hopefully they won't look at the exam date. It's a statesboro fake (meaning it works fine here), but other cities suck.
Go get that pump in soon.
Have fun with the kia.

And SECEG does need more boobies, class is overrated, and I have a judicial hearing in 2 hours for having an empty beer can in my room when they did room checks.

With limited funds & credit building, I'd be buying a warranty too. No shame there. I kinda liked the Hyundai Sonata once upon a time, but they weren't comfortable enough for my family, so that never came to pass. Might even be picking up a Korean car for my dear sweet Mother at one point in the near future. Her Prism is on its last legs.

...and $10 to keep me quiet or I'm tellin' about the RH.

O, I just talked to the hall director woman. I had three options and one was to let her decide. Then she gave me the rule book and told me to decide if I was in violation or not. I read it and clearly wasn't by the wording of the rule book. By a legal standpoint, it should have been that, you know they have to PROVE me being guilty, but yeah that wasn't a court room. So I just said a 21+ friend drank it cuz otherwise she would assume I drank it and even without seeing me drink it I would be in trouble. Not like first offense alcohol probation is a big deal, but I got a couple more months here and who knows if I'll end up needing the first offense.
I'm just glad they can't search INSIDE of anything.
It sucked having to listen to her for 30 minutes ramble on about life, rules, and BS. Ended up now that she might have me do a basic car maintenance demonstration for our residence hall. Alls well that ends well. Tomorrow I shall celebrate (by getting plastered of course)!

Chris, you got that pump in yet?
I smashed my secksi grille up last Thursday in a battle royale with the toilet. I got up early last Thursday morning to take my morning wee wee. I was kinda dizzy and light headed; my dad has hella bad vertigo, and I reckon I do, too. Anyway, midstream, it gets worse. I was hanging on the friggin towel rack for balance; cuz I wasn't done with business. Anyway, I passed out; heard my head hit the toilet seat and woke up on the floor droolin blood and stuff. So I drug up and checked my bad ass out in the mirror; big ole' knot on my chin, nose all swolled up, lips jacked n shiz. I went back to bed and went back to sleep with a killer head ache. Michelle called me a few hours later for somethin or other, and I told her what happened. She was all freakin out and told me to call my mom. Ok sure, snore snore snore. So I called my mom and she hauls ass home in my dad's new Jeep. I was sick already; which turned out to be strep throat. The docs hooked me up to all kinda sh!t and said nothin was broken, and they gave me a huge shot of pennicillen in the azz for the strep. Anyway, ya know that little piece of skin that attaches your upper lip to your gum line? Yeah, I tore mine about 2mm and bit a hole in my lower lip; not to mention my trashed cartiledge in my nose. So I slept all weekend and now I'm better, I reckon.

BTW - there's a crack on the toilet seat where I showed it who's the boss.

It takes about six weeks to work the entire thing out. They have to ship a brand new one for me, then I have to learn how to plug things into me properly, and they keep me in the ER for 23 hours to monitor me and make sure everything stays level. No kinks in the tube or failure of delivery or something like that.

It's very complex, but at the same time interesting as well. I really do hope it all works out for the better.

While ago I made a claim that there's no feckin' CSVTs around here, but I saw two yesterday and one last Saturday. One E0 silver, an E1 silver, and I saw that same green E1 with the ski/roof rack again going down I16. I'm afraid to actually stop one of them and mention CEG because they'll look at my minivan and laugh at me.

and beer is good. Except when they run outta budweiser, then it's just ok. And it's bad when there are 5 or 6 cops outside. Though it made the band play a couple more songs so noone would go out and get busted. Eh, what thread am i in.

Haha.

I just woke up a bit ago. The country band at the bar last nite was pretty good.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: A Long Thread To Be...(note: LONG!) - 03/06/05 08:37 AM
So I went to a party tonite. "ghetto fest 3", with 4 bands playing. Well, cops came, and I stepped inside when one was stalking the back yard (looking for the pot smokers I reckon, stupid fook). So I don't think they hauled anyone off, but the few of us that stayed went to the eagle diner (hookah bar + good eats), and after I got my stomach filled I came back here. Well, then I see UP (university police) car parked in the lot, so I turn the music down, pull into a spot, and two more roll by by the time I am parked. But they don't stop, so everything is good luckily. Actually cops here aren't too bad, but I guess a party next door to an old person's home can only be allowed to go on so long (they rode by all nite, so it wasn't like they just stumbled upon us). Sucks it got busted, but good that none of us got in trouble.

One more day of class, and, other than my History mid-term, I ain't feckin' goin'!

Kinda bummed that they banned "uncensored" St. Pat's Day material for River St this year. Used to be able to buy tons o' beads that had little topless female figurines on 'em and throw them at the chicks that would be running around rampant, completely trashed and their bra hanging half off. I still have a hot pink one somewhere in my room that I found on the street last year after some girl dropped it and said I could keep it.

That's the one thing I love about this city. St. Pat's Day is like a mini-Mardi Gras.

Is it bad when the owner of a bar tells the guy taking cover to not worry bout checking our IDs? Is it bad that the guy taking cover asks me why my friend isn't at the bar? ... Ah, we're a buncha alcoholics at GSU. Anyways. Great nite. I've needed a nite like this for a while, glad it happened. Good start for spring break.

Tonite buying cigs for someone (/pay me back for him bumming a few and he didn't have his ID on him) I got ID'd hardcore. I didn't know how to explain why my real ID says what is says. I was just like that date is for alcohol, that other date is my exam date, and she gave it back to me but then asked for it again. I guess when I told her my exam date she was cool with it. What under 18 yr old is gonna be buying cigs when cops are outside with their lights on? I bought cigs earlier from there with NO id check. Argh. People trying to hassle me. O well, I paid in change (nickels and dimes) so her lost. I wouldda paid with paper cash just not to deal with her crap.

I took my time to search and search and search and then compose a logical, somewhat friendly, very time consuming post that had all kinds of links to the proper pages on this website concerning the "CDW 27 vs X" car posts that have started to clutter Dyno/Drag again. Many people said it would be great if it were stickied, so I get on there this mornin' and guess what happens.

I read your post this morning when I got to work. It was very helpful (at least it should have been) and did look like it took you a lot of time to write/research it. I don't understand why they would delete it. People that frequent that area of the forum must be sick of the A vs B posts, even the moderators. It seems some people don't like it when members take it upon themselves to help out in some way. I guess that's the way it has to be.

This is s'pose to be long, and a way to get things long is to post some pictures.

The time is coming again, and though I'm in college, the girlie has invited me to her senior prom this year. My junior prom was awesome, but last year left a little to be desired. So many little things went wrong that it took away from the overall experience.

For some reason though, prom seems like such a cheezy thing to me now.

Anyway, this is Nadine and I last year, May 2004:

Any "prom stories" some of y'all would like to share?

This suxors. My friends just got busted, I would guess DUI, tho they let them drive home tho UP followed them home. I told them they should let me drive (I can drive fine and if do get stopped, I don't care about my license). They said they we're gonna walk earlier, they shouldda. Hopefully they get outta it. And here is a pic from a bit earlier tonite. Yes, I smoked earlier today, hence the way I look. O and my bar wouldn't serve me tonite cuz they got busted for underage earlier tonite. The other bar did tho, my fake is a piece of paper, so... I guess I understand that bar not serving me.

I dunno what you're talking about.

www.dfilm.com

Y'all need to start making some videos. They can be pretty funny.

Keep them from getting out into Common Interests though, or the moderators will find some way to ban them.

I just realized I have no life

Hehe, things were dead over here for a few days so I ventured over there and they picked me out. I decided it was time to participate, and so now SC thinks I'm a big turkey.

Honestly though, I haven't heard high or low from Jim or Eric in over a week now.

They won't post in here unless they spot an SVT with some type R badges. Everyone knows that those are the only things worth posting about in SE-CEG

Ain't that the truth.

We need to steal some CSVTs from Mishigun. Maybe then all these "I saw one!" threads will cease.

How is it you know more stuff that goes on at my school than I do, and you don't even go there?!

Oh well, if you say there's an autocross, then there's an autocross. I have a work meeting at 9 AM, I might stop by and check it out after that.

I had myself a free day on Saturday, so I got to work with a full top-to-bottom, bumper to bumper wash/wax/detail. I'll post some pictures tomorrow because I want to take my time with the pics and enter a contest at school. Best photos win $50.

Minivan picture contest, sweeeet!

This weekend I went to South Carolina for a cousin's wedding. I had to work my ass off for the rehearsal dinner but the food was great (one of my uncles is a competition (pork) cook). And the reception was best I've been to. Had an open bar but my family nominated me as DD. Damn it, I can drink for free but can only have one corona. Awesome.
I got money and BERFDAY CAKE!!!
Ima be drunk and other stuff this whole week!!!

My final exam for English is due tomorrow morning. I'm working on it right now, actually. It's a stupid f'ing 12 page paper on the essence of Chopin and why it wasn't nearly as acceptable to cheat on a lover back then as it is now. Of course, I'm BS'ing half the chit I'm writing, so it won't be long before I'm done. Thank friggin' God. I'm so sick of final exams.

Basically, the point of this post is to say that I'll likely give you a call tomorrow and head up there for a bit. I'm going to try to bring Nadine if she's feeling better and doesn't have to work. She could use a taste of college before actually getting into it.

All of the frat boys I have met from Georgia Southern are ass holes anyway (not that I have met many, but you know). I am in Delta Sigma Phi at Tech, and some of the guys from the chapter at Southern came a couple weeks ago for a party, drank our alcohol and threw up all over the place. Then they left without cleaning any of it up. One of the guys was passed out naked in the shower in a puddle of his own vomit, wasn't a very pleasent thing to wake up to
Posted By: SAV Re: A Long Thread To Be...(note: LONG!) - 04/29/05 01:19 PM
Heh, you should know Southern boys like Ross can't hold it down if they tried.

As for us up here at Armstrong and SCAD...I'll let Mr. Dallas chime in on that.

I never joined a frat. I didn't like any of 'em 'cause they all seem very superficial. I referred to them as 'frat bugs'. Only group on campus I had less respect for was the baseball team. Mind you, back then I was in good shape - former track & field jock. Not a fat bastid like I am now.

hahahahahaha dude,,,,drugs are bad but then again rehab is for loosers....drink and you will be ok

I don't consider weed a drug (atleast not anymore than alcohol), but "the man" does. It's aight, no other place does hair follicle test (goes back 90 days) like goodyear does so I can get another job (actually a second job since I already have one, it just has low pay) basically anywhere.
Posted By: ryanblacksvt Re: A Long Thread To Be...(note: LONG!) - 05/16/05 08:40 PM
yeah me either, i actually think weed is alot less dangerous than drinking....by far and i am a drinker
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: A Long Thread To Be...(note: LONG!) - 05/18/05 03:15 AM
Good news! I assumed I didn't pass the drug test, but somehow I passed it. So now I have two jobs. Fulltime at a goodyear shop doing oil changes, etc and part time at my usual place (putt-putt type place with arcade, bumper boats, mini-golf, go-karts,etc.). And a friend bought me a tip for my car (did just have a piece of pipe the shop welded on to the muffler). Pretty good day.

Sucks about the hope scholarship though, look on the bright side, If you live in Alabama your best chance to get help with education would be killing someone and getting educated in prison b/c the Pell grant sucks! I guess that what these nimrods get for not voting for the lottery though.

I have this coming Fall 2005 semester covered. Spring '06 will be a problem though. I have to come up with at least $1,347 before then, and that's assuming that the tuition rate at AASU doesn't change.

Do you know if HOPE changed the GPA average one has to keep to continue as a HOPE scholar? I just got off a busy night at work (a lot of the college servers were there) and every single person that was a HOPE scholar has lost it. And none of us are exactly idiots when it comes to college either.

1st semester didn't really go to class much or do any work that I deemed to take too much of my time. Second semester, even though I still drank and whatnot all the time, I got 3 As and a B. I can party and still do good if I want, but I didn't want to first semester.
Posted By: SAV Re: A Long Thread To Be...(note: LONG!) - 05/31/05 04:24 AM
I'm the opposite of you. I owned first semester. Four As and a B in University Establishment.

This semester, I cut a lot of class cuz I knew I was doing crappy and got two Cs, a D and a WF in English because I didn't think the deadline for withdrawl had passed already.

And the best part is that English is my declared major, and it's the class I failed out of.

So there was this one time when I was sleeping, and this dude breaks into our fraternity house (by coming in the side door someone left unlocked) and went into pretty much every room and ended up with 2 laptops and lots of money from peoples wallets ($20 from mine)

I swear, the one time I have money on me...

People saw him too, but no one really thought anythign of it since its a fraternity house and you see people you don't know fairly regularly.

I may have found the new "beater" I've been looking for. A 91 escort gt 5 speed w/ 74k miles. Hopefully I can talk him down one or two hundred, though according to its description I'd probably be willing to pay the $1500 he's asking. If I get this car, hopefully I can find some cheap 15"s or 16"s for the contour (I need new wheels, one is cracking or bent) so I don't have to buy more expensive 17"s.
