My wife tried to call Caney Creek on Friday, but we found out they're all booked up. It seems theres this panning for gold thing going on and we can't get in there, but they offered us a couple other places instead, nice So we called "A mountain view" www.Tellicologcabins.com or (1-423-253-7311) and we got set up this evening. Aparently they have a cabin that sleeps SIX, so those of you who are bringing a couple buddies can split the cost and save a couple bucks One thing they did tell us is that only have (4) cabins and I have cabin #1 reserved for Thurday night, Friday night and Saturday night (Oct 7-10th), so you guys might wanna jump on this right away because if you do, we'll have the entire place to ourselves for the weekend!
Aight who wants to get the 6 person cabin together? Me and a friend are coming and sav-zx2 is coming. So that's three right there. Three more and we're good.
Sounds like a sausage fest.
Fine, your woman can stay.
Bastard

LMAO! I'm not telling anyone not to bring their wife and/or G/F's, but this is really a guy thing, unless you've got one cool-ass chic who understands this car obsession thing we all have My one buddy with the WRX is supposed to be bringing his G/F, so I'm sure he'll need a seperate cabin and Hector is supposed to come and he'll need another seperate cabin.
My ho wants to come. She liked riding through the Gap a couple months back; when everything on the car worked. Now that I've broke stuff, it'll be more exciting!!
Yeah, cuz noone wants to be around stinky hector.

No doubt. How do you think he stripped the paint off his front bumper? I've give you a hint; it's not because his car is so fast it blew the paint off.

Oooo what a comeback. Am I right in assuming you're just as slow as your car?

With the way we bash on Hector like a red headed stepchild, I get the little nagging doubts that one day he's gonna snap and pull out a 9 and put one in all our foreheads.
Naw. I'll just go to da trunk on his azz.
Has anyone else besides myself booked a cabin here yet
I still need to figure out who if anyone is staying with me.
I'm garunteed a bed at my house.

And if need be, someone can sleep on my porch with the dog. I've got a hammock.
Posted By: SAV Re: Important message about accomidations! - 09/01/04 03:49 AM
[raises hand]
You get the porch, I got the hammock.
Looks like Josh has his cabin reserved, now we just need the other cabin taken as well as that huge one that sleeps SIX, you guys get another 2-3 guys yet or what
we need something, 2-20 girls would be good, i would say i'd bring some girls up, but it costs money, and hmm me short on the money.
Bump
I'm waiting to see if my friend with srt4 can make it. Tire shop screwed his wheels up bad, he can't ride up there unless they get it fixed in time.

Good job Hector, but I/we have a question...what day are you coming, Thursday or Friday If you decide to come on Thursday, are you going to come this way and ride down with me, or are you just going to take another route to I-75 to get down there? Let me know and I'll get you the cell phone # of the guy who's going down there with me and maybe, just maybe, if we time it right, we can meet up somewhere on I-75, that would be cool
Posted By: Loco4G63 Re: Important message about accomidations! - 09/08/04 02:48 AM
That sounds good Roger......I would, of course, be coming down on Thursday.

So what do you think you'll do, drive over here or try and meet up with me on I-75

4) do oil change

6) order and install HIDs

That is about it.

I thought they only had (4) cabins Hector As long as you've reserved a cabin where we're stayin' at its all good. Finally, some one from our neck of the woods has stepped up and is making the trip down to the Dragon, thanks Hector. Just to let you guys know about Hector, he drove from Chicago to the metro Detroit area two monthes in a row, during the winter at that, to make it to our meets. I for one think Hector, with his dedication to driving and what he's done to his Tour this year, not to mention aquiring another Tour (with nice rims I might add ), should be "CEG-er of the Year"

Not to mention in the last year I have driven to 3 meets in the Hunstville AL area. Just got to drive where the meets are at, since we have so little meets here in Chicago.

The other Tour is gone. I sold it this past week.....wanna get a pick up.....to tow, etc.

We need to talk about where we are going to meet.

BTW here is a pic from the site.....I present to you, Cabin #5
We'll figure something out Hector and that cabin is sweet as hell I bet inside though This means we have myself, Hector and Josh there, how about you other guys that are trying to get that six person cabin going, any luck there
Do you happen to know how much that cabin is? I might get it and just hope that we get a decent amount of people in it to lower the cost. If can't get CEGers I might drag other people along or something and just get crunk there at nite.
Posted By: Loco4G63 Re: Important message about accomidations! - 09/12/04 10:49 PM
$45 a night.
For the six person!?!? Dood, Ima so get that if it's just $45 a nite.
The woman says we're staying Friday night, so now I gotsta get a joint, too.

HAHAHAHA.........whooped!
Yeah.
My cabin was $60.00 a night, but that six person one has to be more than mine, check the link in the original post and you'll get your answers. Either that or you could mix in a phone call to them THREE AND HALF WEEKS TO GO!
Yeah I might call them. How cold will it be up there? I could just get drunk and go to sleep in my car.

Let's see. After I get the debris that is my back yard cleared away...

0.1) New starter - DONE

1) Rear disc conversion
2) Tranny drain & fill
3) Detail car
4) Pre-98 sail panels - if available
5) De-badge
6) Mesh
7) New tires on 15" SE 8 spoke wheels
8) Secret mod #1
9) Secret mod #2
10) Secret mod #3, but probably won't have time to do it.
11) Detail again, but probably won't have time to do it.
My car will look like Eric's parts car again.
1.Look at brakes, ponder why they don't work real well
2.Look at suspension, wonder what that sound is
3.Go to exhaust shop, beg to have my cat cut off and cry when they won't do it
4.Get my car detailed, sulk away as my wallet becomes thinner
5.Make sure I killed all the ants in the car
6.Ponder fixing the leak inside of the passenger compartment when it rains

I forgot:
10) build MIL eliminators
11) fix loose/broken A-pillar cover
12) clean the engine bay
13) hook up new sub amp only to take it out before the trip
14) look better than Jim's car
15) look better than Ross's car
16) look better than Hector's car
17) be faster than Jim's car
18) be faster than Ross's car
19) be faster than Hector's car

Did you guys that had THREE get another (3) to rent out the big cabin
Check the other thread. They're booked up with bikers. I'd like to find another cabin similar to those (in price, amenities, room), but it might not happen.
If you call them or Caney Creek, they'll give you some other numbers to call, thats what they did for me. Gotta love that southern hospitality

I've emailed about every cabin place in the area. We'll see what happens.

Have you heard anything back from them yet? If not, I know theres some hotels right off of I-75 and 68 IIRC A bit of a distance from the beginning of the Cherahola, but we can still meet up though
I got a cabin in Robbinsville, I posted it somewhere.

WOW!, your on the other side of the Dragon Run from us, but I'm sure we'll all meet up somewhere. I wanna do the Dragon Run from Robinsville to Tellico Plains this time too
You guys will just cross the Skyway & meet up at the Crossroads of Time. Then you make the run together, but somebody will have to cross the Skyway to get back to their accomodations for the night...
Ain't nothing wrong with the Skyway at night.
