Thanks Pete, tons! I'm sure my checkbook will like you too for making it lighter!

this one is terrible, but I think you can still see some of the handy work. Hopefully Pete took some before/after ones. I'm sure he did with the effort he put into it.

The paint is in good condition (now, before it was just 'protected' by crap). That's what happens though when you only put 10k on it in 4 years.

Selling it? Hell, that sucker is sold this weekend! :-)

Yeah, that's understandable, luckily with mine all of my high dollar mods can be easily removed and sold... The rest of money i put into mine went to upkeep/maintenance...

DAMN! Pete sure can polish a Knaub......erized SVT!
Posted By: GTO Pete Re: I love Peter. - 07/25/06 03:57 AM
Under the dust, tar, paint specks, dirt and crap that's accumulated over the years, the paint was moderately swirled.

After a wash and dry, there was no shine at all to the paint. Reflections were very blurry and no visible flakes in the paint.

I hit it with the PC and Zaino ZPC. After a buff, I hit it w/ the PC and Menzera Final Polish II. Swirls were greatly reduced and a nice shine and reflection. Four Star UPP for sealant. (Stabler got the good stuff).

I do have pics, but nothing great because by the time I was done, the car was mostly in the shade. Which is a shame because I think the car would have looked real nice in the sun.

Here is the BEFORE picture in the sun! As you can see, no shine! Car looked like gray more than silver.

After polish x2 and 1x sealant:

Before:
Ryan's was much filthier top to bottom, inside and out.
Yours just had really bad tar problems.

After:
Very similar. Hard to tell on silver. Would have to be side-by-side and careful examination of both to say one is "better" than the other.

At least I didn't feel like passing out after detailing yours!
