The Stained Glass Pub in Olney that we've been going to for the past 5 years is shutting it's doors, so we need suggestions for a new place.

The good thing about the pub was:
- no wait
- cheap food
- loitering in the parking lot
- pretty "central" for Stabler from VA, Ant from Bowie, Jess from Columbia, etc.

If we can't come to a conscencus I'm pretty sure Mike would be ok with making Hooter's our regular place.

What about that mall where D&B's is? I don't know what restaraunts are in there, but seemed easy enough, and its a bit closer ;-)

Did you make it to the Hooter's that one time? It's on the same road (355/Rockville Pike) a couple miles north.

Yes, but Hooters girls and the clientel (sp?) annoy the hell out of me.

Of course there are the more expnesive places like Timpano's, Houston's Cheesecake Factory, etc.

D&B owns.

Fuddrucker's makes my butt explode, but I'm down.

Isn't there some more places just down the road from the pub...on the same side of RT 108 towards 650/Olney Ale House? There is also a pub/reasturant on the right just befor 650 I think on RT 108 that looks pretty decent?

To be honest I more than likely would not make much down that way until next Fall (mid October) when softball is over or if I don't have a game. All of my games are in Howard County just off RT 108. To come after games isn't too bad since I can get there usualy in about 20-25 minutes at the most from the fields but to head over to the pike would not be worth it to me after games.

oops...Friday the 7th I may not be there anyway...supposed to leave for OC that day...so go where ever you want

then i guess you need to quit softball don'tcha? :-P

...so far playing softball 2 nights a week is still cheaper...now if I can find somthing to do the other 5 nights of the week

Columbia has Rocky Run Sports Bar and Nottinghams!

Rocky Run is a brewery and Nottinghams has lots of pool, outdoor seating, Darts and shufflepuck.

Now Andy...would you go into Nottinghams after a softball game on a Friday night around 8:00

That place will be packed with after work happy hour crowd and the begining of the expensivly dress HOCO singles crowd. Plus good luck getting a table for 5-8 as well and expensive food. Now if I was single and all cleaned up for a Friday night out I'd be there for sure

God, why can't you ****ers ever come down HERE to some semblance of civilization with all these get-togethers??!! That's still like 3 hours from me...

I've tried a few times to get'em to come to my place and it always (except the first time) never gets any responses so I gave up.

Has softball until 9:00-ish. Add an hour to that and he's there around 10pm.

Is a wuss. I mean he skips out on a 30 minute drive to the Pub!

Always arrives late and leaves early. An hour each way is lot and I don't know if he even plays poker.

Might be clipping his toenails or something.

Rick has a curfew.

Over an hour drive, but he likes driving so he'd probably be in.

No BBQs at my house. My backyard is 120% ghetto and isn't ready for anyone elses eyes!

I've got the deep 2 car garage (with welder, air tools, etc), patio, yard, and a grill... Too bad I'm in B.F.E. Gainesville and nobody wants to come out here...
