now if I were only closer or had any Apple knowledge...
$50 bucks is a steal. but

The white, Power PC 750s with 12-inch screens have 320 megabytes of memory and are installed with the AppleWorks Operating System

are they upgradeable? if not, lookin to be totally obsolete soon. maybe still do some word processing on it though
I am driving down with 3 other people and getting 4 of them. 50$ is an absolute steal!
uh..are you kidding? i used these, i went to school here they really suck and aren't worth 50 bucks. with all the torment those little machines went through, well at least mine. they are probably [censored] for life. cracked screens broken hard drives, i haven't heard of so many computers breaking.

If they work, 50$ is a good deal. They are still selling for 350$+ on ebay. I just want something that I can play around with, not something I am using as a serious machine, LOL.
they are not easily upgradable. as far as the info on them from diff sites the only thing you can do is memory (512 is max for the board) and hard drive, but both with cost you more then the thing is worth. the laptops they used were very low end cheapies that were put out specifically for word processing and excel, stuff that doesnt work it too hard. my suggestion is not even make the trip
Looks like they changed it...

You have to be a resident of that county now to get it. What a load...

Yeah, that's retarded. I was ready to get one...
They are pretty much already obsolete. I wouldn't waste $50 on a computer I didn't want anyway. If I were a resident of the county, I'd probably buy one just for the resale value :-P

Yeah, considering they sell for 250$ + on ebay.

Well that'd be a $200 profit then

welcome to living in CVA

people are just plain sad sometimes, i cant wait for them to all be pissed off when half of them quit working soon
i still can't believe someone got hit with a chair. That's hillarious.
just found out yesterday that the laptops that were supposed to be ready to-go came completely wiped out
Define "wiped out", I thought I saw people testing them in the place before they bought them? I can't imagine that the machines would have been useless at that point.
some were reformated
some had no drivers
some had a faulty OS
some were crap

people tested the good ones and some bought the crappy ones
Well that doesn't make much difference, so long as the hardware is operational.

Anyway, I think we can all agree that wouldn't be worth it. People are stupid and crazy. I can only imagine how the woman who pissed herself feels after that little detail has been mentioned all over the national news. The guy with the folding chair, though - that's just hilarious.
