realize that when i said base, i meant Contour base. anyways, i was just wondering, cause i was thinking when i go back there for a visit, we could all get together. you wanna hear something funny? i saw more CSVT's in alaska than i do here in Ft. Worthless TX. i have only seen one since i have been here (for 3 months). i saw them daily in alaska (or at least it seemed that way)

then again in anchorage you see alot of the same cars over and over again on the more popular roads like gamble, northern lights, benson, and seward & glenn hwy, other than that maybe spenard on a night that koots is opened.

yeah, northern lights is a big one. i used to......on king street alot...

i mainly saw them in the summer on benson and northern lights "cruisin the strip" for those who couldnt get into koots that is. other than that maybe the diamond center mall or something. never really saw any good quality hooked up cars though then again when its winter for over 7 months out of the year why bother. i never hooked my 1st contour up cause of all the snow. now i am in ga with the svt and its warm almost all year.

I spent a week in Anchorage and surrounding areas last summer and didn't see any CSVTs.
Then again, I wasn't really looking at cars too often when I was out there. I loved it up there. Alaska truely brings a whole to meaning to "wild."

When I become a PA, I am seriously considering going up to AK. I don't think I'd raise a family up there, but it would be fun to be up there in the "pre-children" phase of my life.

it is absolutely gorgeous up there. but make sure you bring $$$$$$$, you cant find a decent house up there in anchorage for less that 250 grand (1500 sq. ft., 3 bdr, 2 bth)

exactly, in 1997 i bought a brand new 97 ford contour gl. the only options it had were power windows and locks and it was a stick, i paid 21,000 for it. even cars up there are over priced a svt the next year would cost you over 25,000 new. shoot milk is like 4.00 a gallon right now and cigs are almost 5.00 a pack. i am going back in january to pick my daughter up and i am bringing everything and staying with friends. i dont wanna pay another 80.00 a night to sleep in someone elses urin. cause 80.00 a night thats all it will get ya for a hotel room even off season.

yep. we sold a 1600 square foot house for 330K in the city...its getting bad. i have seen gas prices in excess of 2.30 a gallon (for premium) too.
