Hey Guys,
I'm in the process of installing the s/c and would like to put a larger filter on. Any suggestions.... better yet part #. Thanks
Courtney
I use a K&N X-Stream filter, but I don't have the part#

I'm using an S&B powerstack and it clamps right over my 75mm maf.
Rick
chris is that the same filter the kkm uses?
The filter won't fit on the stock MAF without using some type of MAF adapter. On the 75MM pro-m unit you can order it without the flange and the filter slips right on the end of it to be clamped down, but you want to go with the chrome unit because the plastic one will crack with the pressure from the clamp.
Rick
thanks Rick,
do you know which MAF adapter I can use with the stock MAF for the larger S&B filter?
d
You really can't use the stock MAF, because on the bullet style Pro-M you slide the filter on there are no flanges and bolts its just a tube and because of that you can slide the filter farther up the tube freeing up that extra 1/2-1" you need to fit that large mouth S&B. Check my post "It lives again" there is a link with pictures of my set-up which is the same as Ricks.
slightly OT... Kinger, have you dynoed that beast yet?

No he hasn't had a chance to yet. It's still in the break-in stage. Should be getting it done in the next month with dyno tuning the chip!
Rick
I am using the cold air type from BAT. I haven't figured out the routing of the tube yet, but the filter is bigger. Once I get the cold air "vacuum cleaner" hose routed to the front air dam, I will let you all know how it turned out, with pics.

Cut large hole in fender and Voila! Cold-Air!
