Went to the Fast Fords in the Fall event at Rockingham dragway over the weekend, and watched 1turbofocus run.

He ran a new best 1/4...12.5 @ 108, but he missed 5th gear so he coasted through the lights. That was with a 2.2 60'. On an earlier run when he screwed up the launch, he had a 115 mph trap speed

This was on BFG drag radials.

Man someone needs to put this Zetec kit on a Contour

376Lbs difference (using the ol' track rat rule of thumb that every 100Lbs. lost equates to a .1 drop in ET) would mean a tour potentially running 12.5 + .376 = 12.876.

Here's an idea. Buy a Coral Mist i.e. '95 Zetec Tour and put this set up in it. Throw on some whitewall 14" rims with hubcaps. Go Viper hunting. Damn that would be fun.

beleive me, I've thought about it. That would be the ultimate sleeper! Even thought about swapping a Zetec into my SVT I'll probably just stick with the vortech...i've spent enought money on this car as it is

This is encouraging because I was hoping for low 13's when I'm done with mine and its nice to see the zetec gears seem to work quite well with enough power, shoudl be interesting and I think my coug tips the scales at around 3050 lbs somewhere in there.

So I went to taller gears and he went to shorter gears. What was the reasoning on that?
