I do not think he did anything to the bumper. Removed AC and installed the FMIC...

He told me he was going to trim.

Even I trimmed for you...

All I did was remove the entire AC system from the engine bay, and then trimmed flush, the tabs of the inside of the bumper mouth that hold the mesh in place.

What are the dimensions of the IC?

What do you care?

Too EASY! I would have done the same thing with the bumper cover, plenty or room for a long, narrow IC.

Just like the one in my Volvo S40 in fact.

In no way could I live without a/c. I was thinking maybe stazi found a way to keep it. Maybe not.

Anyway, still cool. Staz your engine bay makes my pants wet.

Aren't there some aftermarket trunk-mounted A/C units out there? It probably wouldn't be as good, but still better than nothing.

If your car is fast enough you don't miss A/C...
Posted By: Ray_dup1 Re: Stazi's FMIC setup - 05/29/06 02:00 AM
My car is fast enough.. and I still have AC...

lol.. Here's hoping the plans in the works make it even faster!
Posted By: MapOfTaziFoSho Re: Stazi's FMIC setup - 05/29/06 04:45 AM
AC is over rated. Now if I had to wear a suit to work, well I would change my tune.

My A/C worked 1 out of the 4 years I've owned the car...
Posted By: csvtjohnga Re: Stazi's FMIC setup - 05/29/06 05:09 AM
i've been w/o ac since i got it... yea it gets hott but o well.
Posted By: 1bdtour Re: Stazi's FMIC setup - 05/29/06 08:04 PM
My a/c in my tour never worked either i never really cared but it does get really hott sometime even with the windows down. The crx doesnt even have a/c....all the cars i have ever owned never had a/c it either needed charging or sum other stuff.
Posted By: Tourige Re: Stazi's FMIC setup - 05/29/06 08:45 PM
i dont use the AC, i just drive with the windows down. It never gets hot enough up herre to warrent the use of AC, its usually 95-80 here.

With the compressor, condensor, and accumulator removed you can do many things.

One being push the power steering cooler back.
Two route 90 degree elbows up from the FMIC.
If you look at the pics from the SZ forum and combine that with your already pretty good knowledge of the engine bay you should be able to get a good image/idea of what you can/want to do.

Not really - I'm not taking the bumper off to take pics. But the routing is pretty self explantory from the photos shown so far.
