Just picked up a CSVT with FSVT rims. I'm looking for a 225/45/17 winter tire to run. Any suggestions? I was looking at Bridgestone Blizzak REVO 1, Pirelli Winter Carving or Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25.

I just replied to your other post, but check the post I made about my Nitto NT-SN1 snow tires here.

I would love to get those tires but I need 225/45/17's.

Why on earth would you want to run 17" snow tires?
You don't plan on running your FSVT rims in the winter do you?
You would be much beter off getting a set of thinner 15" rims and mounting snow tires on these. 15" snow tires will be much much cheaper thatn 17" snow tires and will likely handle better in the snow.

Really you are running your FSVT rims in the winter? I took my 17" wheels off and store them, which run 215/55H17. I run the factory CSVT 16" rims in the winter.

I'm actually thinking of just putting my 8 spoke SE wheels on the SVT and getting some Winterforce tires.

when you where in detroit we could have traded your fsvt's rims for my E0's with winter tires

I run 14" alloys with dedicated snow tires on my SE in the winter and they work great. (14" won't fit on an SVT but 15" would be almost as good). My gas mileage is significantly better than with my regular 17" rims and the 14" snow tires are much cheaperto buy.
