So i am new here. I have a mystique LS. I just got a new set of tires for it. I also just came across a really nice set of SVT wheels. and i wanted to know if my tires 205/60's would fit on a SVT rim.

What size are your tires (16", 17", etc.)? What vintage SVT wheels do you have? The E0's are a 16", while the E1's are 17" (I believe).

Nope...E1's are 16" as well. No CSVT came with 17" stock. Now the FSVT wheel is 17"

205/60/16's will fit on either wheel. They'll just be floaty and look like baloons.

I stand corrected.

A 60 series versus a 55 series has more sidewall height. Measured from the lip of the tire to the the tread the 60 will be taller. More sidewall equals more flex in the tire (generally). Which in layman's terms just means that a 60 series tire will not feel as precise or connected to the road as a 55 series. The stock tire size for the SVT was 205/55/15 (E0) or 215/50/16 (E1).

The 60's will look visibly bigger..hence looking like balloons...but since you're already running them on 16", you won't notice any differance.

Although they will fit the wheel, I don't think it will fit the car. Your choices for 16" wheels are: 205/55R16, 215/50R16, and 225/50R16. The first is stock size for 98 SVT (E0 and E1). The second is stock size for 99 and 00. The third is the largest that will fit, and even it is a very close fit.
