Hey guys, I'm actually looking to put some cheap-o tires onto my Sunbird to get me through the winter. The tires I have now are seeing their last few thousand miles, and I need to get some new rubber before this snow gets much deeper. What do you suggest in the 205/60/15 range?

Is that as cheap a tire as we can find? $43? And about the Fuzions, these are going on a car I paid $800 for. Aren't there any tires that just say "Tire" on it or something for $25? Maybe I'll just find some used tires.

Try Wal-Mart or Costco for cheap no--name tires.

I got three M+S rated tires (2 to replace worn out ones, and one for a spare) from the junkyard for almost nothing. Douglas size 205/60/15, all with more than 50% tread left, from a wrecked Contour.

Not a bad idea, and I had actually thought about that. My only concern was finding junkyard tires that were relatively new(to the junkyard). Having a car sit for 2 years, I'm sure I'd find some nice dryrotted tires in there. I'll keep my eyes open!

Pete (Mapotazi) and I picked up a set of Michelin Hydroedges from the wrecker this weekend for $250. They had hardly any miles on them and were 205/55R16. He may sell them to you if you ask him.

205/60/15 And I'm not paying $250 for tires for a Sunbird like I said.

Go to your local wreckers and see what they have!
