I found a site selling tokico struts.
Are they good struts?
Not a bad price for them $400
A company out of P.A.

I never knew these actually got made and I doubt they ever did. We all had our hopes up on this board 3-4yrs ago thinking Tokico was going to release these but they never did. It shows them available at Nopi.com as well, yet they really are not available.

I went to tokico website and they show part numbers
hb3086 for the front and hb3087 for the rear.
I,ll dig deeper for more info. Thanks!

anyone try these struts, are they any good?

can you run coilovers with them?

the tokico struts available for us are just stock replacements...

they aren't the adjustable ones equivalent to konis that alot of import tuners use...

look around for yourself

Are you sure you're not confused with another strut? I don't think ANY tokicos are made for our cars? (Got a link to a site that has them on sale, not just listed with estimated release date, etc.?) Tokico not only makes good adjustable struts, but also good, performance non-adjustable struts. Though I don't believe tokico makes ANY struts for our cars.

its a possiblity...maybe I'm getting them mixed up with KYB's...I could've sworn they made some for our cars though.

Definitely wouldn't be the same. Real aftermarket tokico struts can handle the abuse of moderate lowering springs, svt struts can not.

...he never said anything about lowering springs.

He never said anything about stock springs either.
Aftermarket tokico struts can handle lowering springs, svt struts can not. That was the SIMPLE statement I made. He said buy svt struts if you want tokico struts and I explained why it would not be the same. Why are some things so hard for some people to understand?

I was thinking about running B&G springs with tokico
struts.I,am looking for another company with a good price.
I,am not going to dump crazy dough into koni or bilstein.

Well you're going to end up paying more later when they don't hold up and your ride is bouncing all over the place and also the struts most likely won't compliment the springs.

BAT euro struts or spax are the other options.
Posted By: outkast Re: tokico struts for contours - 04/22/04 02:55 PM
I may go with spax.

Things are hard to understand because some people like to have good looking seats that hold you in nice and tight in the corners? Wow, your logic is awesome.

yeah, racing seats & worn out struts. good combination for cornering.

I see the sarcasm there... but you must not be talking about me, because I don't have worn out struts anymore.
