Getting ground control soon.... Looking through the BAT Catalog, they offer Spax Struts and BAT Euro struts.. Both are sport (and aftermarket spring) tuned... They are pretty comparable in price.. the BAT Description of the Spax struts make them sound a little more sporty, the BAT Euro Struts say something like "would make a good stock SVT replacement"... Well I want best possible handling.. Which of these two should I choose?
Well I can tell you what not to waste your money on. I too have G/C and I just recently installed Koni's and I was hoping it would get rid of the harsh ride I was experincing with the stock struts. I was wrong, car still has a harsh ride, but does handle corners better, not exactly what I was loOking for. Very upset that I spent the extra $100 per strut compared to other companies out there. Take my advice if you plan on going with G/C, just know your ride quality will be poor no matter what strut application you use.
P.S. make sure you cut the Spring Perch off the strut too fit the G/C's, I made that mistake and payed a hard lesson.
Hey fast4door......with the stock struts....did your rear end like to float a little???
What do you mean float? As in the butt of the car sway out on cornering?
i think Leda makes a strut with the perch already taken off. might be an easy fit with the GC coilover sleeve.
I'm not 100% positive about it but check their website and find out.
THe Leda's are pricy though(something like $200 each), but have more ajustability then the Koni's.
There is a guy on this forum that had a custom coilover kit made by a Leda distributer but since it was custom i think he said it ran him about $2k
