cool stuff
Posted By: luvinmycontour Re: Zetec dress up - 09/26/03 09:42 PM
well i would do that, but i think my uncovered cam gears look cooler. and did you know the fuel rail on our engines is chrome? some degreaser and a hose helped me figure that one out.

it only is if you have a pre 98
Posted By: luvinmycontour Re: Zetec dress up - 09/27/03 02:24 AM
well personally i think the pre 98's are more atractive. unless they are CSVT's. but thats just my opinion.

I would have to say,

Nice Job!

Mine looks pretty crappy right now.
I keep ripping stuff out and throwing stuff in.
All temp installs.
Duct tape and wire wraps are the main theme.

Hector I see u have a breather on ur engine, do we not have to hook that tube from the intake to the engine??
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Zetec dress up - 09/29/03 09:53 PM
They were made different for a while. Though you could plug that hole and use a breather.
Posted By: IonNinja Re: Zetec dress up - 09/29/03 11:42 PM
if u have a 98+ (i think) you don't have that hole in the CTA intake for the tube to connect

I have one of those filters but nothing to fill that hole up with
Posted By: fazzman2000_dup1 Re: Zetec dress up - 09/30/03 12:00 AM
Ill have pics up of mine this weekend. Valve cover mod and cam gears. Well this is on my focus, buts its my contours valve cover!
Posted By: lsneo Re: Zetec dress up - 09/30/03 01:28 AM
is it ok to drive around with the cam gear covers off?
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: Zetec dress up - 09/30/03 03:15 AM
It's fine to not have the top cover on.
Posted By: luvinmycontour Re: Zetec dress up - 09/30/03 03:19 AM

I see that hector doesn't have his hole covered, does that make less air get into the engine, and does it make a difference if I used a breather w/ a covered hole or the regular tube connected
Posted By: ChattavegasSE_dup1 Re: Zetec dress up - 09/30/03 05:43 AM
I think Darrel wins! Way to go D Davis!!

It came with a screw plugging the hole ( I got one of the first CTA intakes)....the newer ones have a little plug.

I dunno, I think Anthony is already at a disadvantage, not having it in the car kinda doesn't count.

Here's my entry for second bestest Zetec under D Davis:

You can even see my very strong pimp hand in this one:

I've also got a clear tail light! Yay for APC Euros!!!

I'M NUMBER 2!!!

Powdercoated with black smoke crome with high gloss clear.

Looks good, especially with all the black plastic Ford put under your hood.
