I want to no is it possible if I change the transmission and everything if I could take the 4 cylinder out of my Contour SE and repalce it with the SVT engine

first off the svt engine is a v6 not a v8. now to answer your question. yes you could theoretically do it however you would need the engine, trans, wiring harness, pcm, subframe, radiator, and im sure there is alot of other stuff. thats just the big parts. it would be much easier to swap in the svt into a tour that already had a v6.

or just buy a SVT as it will probably end up being cheaper.

Thats what i did! I wanted more power and performance, so i payed off the SE and went and got an SVT to compliment the SE.

Can that! Just drop a 3L into the V-6 Contour & it will be better, faster, cheaper then the SVT swap.

you can squeeze the WHOLE 3.0L in there, no need for all that stuff if you don't want it.
