Get a filter for it at autozone or a similar place, all you need to do is fab a holder for it to stick to the end of your breather tube. Or (if your fuel rail is small enough) connect it straight to your valve cover where the breather port is.

Yeah, I just used one of those "valvecover breathers" from Advanced Auto Parts. I think it is meant for a small block chevy. It looked like a tiny K&N filter.

I have a footlong or so hose running from the valvecover to my filter. I just have the hose ziptied onto the brake booster vacuum hose. Check it out...

I hope there is no sensor. If you got rid of the airbox, you may need a breather for two reasons:

1) It helps filter escaping oil vapors into the atmosphere.
2) It looks good/cleaner.

IRC, I bought mine for $10 at advance auto parts. Its better than leaving the tube just lying their with no visible function.

Are you talking about the intake air temperature sensor?

Two wires going into it, with a orange tip?

There are a few boxes on the stock intake for the Zetec.

The plenum on the top of the motor which I have been told that you need. The muffler going to the front of the motor that the Air Temp Sensor lies, the AFbox, and a muffler in the fender. Which one are you talking about?

ok in the pic above its not there but it would go right next to the valve cover..it would be right on top of his plug wires

The obnoxious piece you're referring to is the intake resonator...it serves no real purpose, robs power and takes up space. In the intake system it is located between the plenum and MAF sensor, and forces incoming air down a dead end pipe. Ford did this to quiet engine noise, but it creates back pressure and reduces air velocity. My recommendation is to ditch the thing, just get a pipe 3" in diameter and connect it where it used to be. Don't forget to drill and thread a hole for your IAT (Idle Air Temperature) Sensor, or the ECU will get an inaccurate reading for the intake temp and incorrectly adjust the air/fuel ratio.

k i did that i cut it off and kept the sensor where it was and covered the hole with a piece of steel but it seems like its robing hp with out it cuz when i left it on there and ran the car it seemed faster but when i took it off it seemed slower idk whats thats about thats y i was wondering.

If the sensor isn't mounted in the pipe, it is measuring the air in your hot engine bay. This will pull timing, add fuel, and make your 'tour run like crap.

Get your IAT properly mounted in the intake pipe and it should all be fixed.

ok i left the sensor where it was in the stock place it was mounted and cute off the intake resonator then i put steel over the hole in the pipe so it shouldnt be gettin hot engine air

if the steel plate is not sealed to the plastic it will leak unmetered air into the tubing making it run lean and hence running like crap.

i need to juss buy more tubing and get rid of that lil peice to make sure no hot air is leakin into it
