98+ zetecs are quicker than pre98's. Maybe vct adds power.

I read somewhere that the VCT allows either the intake or exhaust cam to be more aggressive so it's supposed to flow better while allowing good TQ. Though it's probably not "Stage 2" or even "Stage 1" aggressive, probably more like "Stage .1".

That's the same conclusion me and friend came up with. Also stickers no longer add HP. Aluminum wings however do, as previously thought, add HP.
Just a 98+ zetec auto in tallahasee runs a 15.9 1/4 mile. He's got intake, wing, ported intake IIRC, and not much/anything else. I'd be happy to run a high 16 in the 1/4. We didn't race, so nothing conclusive... so story goes that he pulled on a cougar that I'm sure is faster than my car soooo. O well, I got the escort to start modding.

actually i have intake,port n polished heads,exhaust,coil pack,wing,but when i hot the 15's i had my zex nitrous kit installed.i sprayed at the last second so i could hit the 15's.
