who has the fastest zetec powered contour? and how fast is it?

either hector...or i think they have a guy who says he turbo'd his zetec....i dont think he's ran it yet...so not sure of the times...so prob hector...

Sleeper Z is faster then hector IIRC, Doesn't he run low 14's on a 55 shot?

I think Sleeper ran a 14.3 on a 75 shot or something like that...hes the only fast one here.

Although there are a couple of guys building custom turbo setups...curious as to what they'd run.

14.4 on a 65HP shot.
Before Quaife, intake, adj. cam gears, bottle heater, and suspension.
Should be able to pull a 14.1 or 14.2 now.
Not going to bother running again until exhaust headers are installed.
Then I'll bump to 75HP shot.
Should see a 13.7 or 13.8 then.

what other mods did you have to run the 14.4?

Mods to run 14.4 were;
UDP, optimized TB, different intake (short ram with K&N cone, no heatshield), cat back exhaust, chip with custom tuning, oil cooler, SVT motor mounts, stock 205/60/15 tires at 36 psi on all, and the nitrous.

Had alot of wheelp hop, so with the Quaife and suspension, I'm hoping to cut about 1 tenths off, then bump to a 75HP shot to cut another tenth off.
My better intake, TB spacer, and adj cam gears should cut another tenth off.
Hoping for the high 14.0 to low 14.1 range.
Then slap on an exhaust header, some cams, a PnP'ed head with a small bump in compression, retune the chip and cam gears, add some lighweight 16" rims and I should be a solid 13.3 give or take a tenth. (According to the math)
Just $1800 dollars and I'm there.

I know, I need to have both mounts fully filled.
I shredded the first front SVT mount I installed.

Once the exhaust header is on I will be right with the n/a MTX Duratecs.

I really want to pull a 13.4 (with nitrous of course) just to annoy all the turbo 3L guys.

I would really like to see a turbo Zetec pulling high 14's.

Wonder what Seawulf runs?

as much as I love the duratec, the zetec I think is the overall more capible engine for a lower budget. a mid 14 for a n/a zetec is a DAMN good time. Just imigine what Hector could pull if his s/c zetec contour had an MTX. The possibilitys of the zetec are just endless with the right mods and know how when it comes to customising some of the parts.

I don't think hes ever ran his car at the track turbo'd...I do know that he definitely has enough power to be in the 13s...especially with the nitrous.

.....i havent seen a N/A zetec runs 14's yet..

good point, I forgot about the fact that he had some go go juice. its still an impressive number.

I should be able to take them for the first few hundred feet since I won't have the traction issues off the line.

MINE is one of the FASTEST........you should see the SPEED that it can drain my bank account at......!!!

Times are from memory;

Fastest turbo 3L is about a 13.3,
fastest turbo 2.5L is around 13.9,
fastest 3L is Demon's 13.47,
fastest 2.5L is about 14.5,
fastest nitrous feed 2.5L was 13.9 on 100HP shot,
and I don't think any 3L guys are running nitrous.

Y2KSVT is running the venom kit on his 3L, hasn't been to the track yet though

I think BurritaSVT is in the low 13's with his turbo 2.5L
