I have just installed an intake setup similar to SleeperZ.
I used 3 inch piping instead.

Performance Change - Wheelspin when there previously was none. Car is alot more responsive thru the rpm range.
Noise - Bit louder, but not as loud as a cone filter.

Next Mod - K&N drop in filter.

Great work SleeperZ.

I think wheel spin can be associated with heavy footitis, not a new intake.

I would say heavy foot-itus is in play.
But the increased responsiveness above 2k is noticable.

Get this... All the Mondeos (1996-2001) in Trinidad are wagons and automatic.
Total Mondeo count I approximate at under 1000.
Engine range is 1.8 Zetec, 2.0 Zetec and 2.5 Duratec.
I have heard but not confirmed, that there is also a 1.6 Zetec (Frightening in a car this heavy) I know they exist in England though.

1.6 Zetec Mondeo!? That is like stiking 2 fat chicks in the back seat of a Honda!

How/why would you be sticking two fat chicks in a honda? That is way too desperate.

He has a backup just in case the other one gives out, or doesn't put out.

Doesn't need to buy H&R's too

As for the 1.6 ...

Quote:

Estate 1.6i 16V----- 39MPG(Combined;Imperial)-----111 Top Speed-----0 to 60 = 13.0

I guess it was for the MPG cause the 1.8 got a combined 35 and the 2.0 34 and 2.0 auto 32... And cost.

NOTE: I had to take the numbers from a Saloon cause my brochure doesn't have the 1.6 in an Estate (wagon) so the MPG is prolly a bit less.
I'm sure you all know this, but it bares repeating....
Fat chicks are like mopeds, the're fun until your friends catch you riding one.....

I've done it a lot with the Stique.
I can also chirp the drive wheel while its shifting into 2nd gear without messing with anything.
