is there anything out there that will just bolt onto a zetec without having to actually go buy some overpriced bent piping (eg. can i go to the junk yard and pick up something to slam on there real quick like)?

Sounds like he doesn't have much money, svt exhaust costs money.

just go to a exhaust shop. 2.25 pipe from Flex pipe to muffler. 30 mins, and 83.34 dollars later, was the best performance exhaust i ever bought(bang/buck ratio). I was going to do it myself since i know how to weld, have all the tools, and have done my own and installed exhaust systems on my other cars( 77transam, 63 riviera (almost done)) but I was lazy and didnt want to weld all those bends. being 19 and going to college doesnt give me that many funds to do everything I want, but 85 bucks was just right for me

Sounds like you found one of the few better exhaust shops.
Posted By: Kremithefrog Re: instant exhaust - 02/04/05 06:35 AM
I got the same thing at right around the same price.
Posted By: IonNinja Re: instant exhaust - 02/04/05 09:54 AM
if he saws off his exhaust I will kick his ass...that is the nastiest sounding ricer sound you will ever experience.

My first advice is don't be a cheap ass, you have a car...you will be spending money on it whether you like it or not. So don't go half ass...

btw my SVT exhaust cost me $52
Posted By: ZetaEx Re: instant exhaust - 02/04/05 03:09 PM
Im paying $275 shipped for my SVT Ex... and $130 is just the shipping... ... oh well!

That is all replacement stuff. Autozone is not a performance parts company (they sell a few things), especially not for contiques.

whoever is selling you that is definitely ripping you off...

My SVT exhaust was cut into pieces and sent Greyhound for $52...and it took only a couple days to get here.

Why would you pay $275 for a used OEM exhaust? And then you gotta pay for installation on top of that...

yea it was mandrel bent..dude who ownz the shop is really cool, real down to earth guy. When i rolled up in my contour asking him for an exhasut, he gave me one of those " are you serious smiles?!", but then looked at the OEM one and said" we can do better thant that!". He's shop is even listed on the magnaflow website, under area code 90807, would highly recommend to any one in the area.
Posted By: ZetaEx Re: instant exhaust - 02/05/05 09:24 AM
Hmmm.. interesting... the guy I'm buying from is in Florida. He says he is shipping the exhaust in two pieces and its about $60-70 per package UPS. I figured 140 bucks wasnt bad for the SVT exhaust system considering how much a cat-back exhasut cost from some websites ($400-$600). I just believed him on the shipping. If anyone has a better way to go, now is the time to speak up. Im putting the check in the mailboax tomorrow. I was going to send off the money two days ago, but I've been delayed due to work and Midterms. I need options people

i think your paying way to much for that exhaust ..u would be better making your own, probably spend the same amount if someone made it for you and installed it at the same time than spend it on an OEM exhuast. Just my opinion

I bought mine off another CEG'er who had an aftermarket exhaust and had his SVT exhaust just sitting around.
