WTH is it?

3530 is the tried and true winner. the other will work, but the best would be the 3530 (at least... under GENERAL terms... CFM ratings would be the deciding factor... how much air can you handle, etc?)

RU 3530 and custom made heatshield.....

but beware of "the moose", you'll get used to it though

The moose pisses me off.
Posted By: ConcepTrs913 Re: ru-3530 or ru-1785? - 06/09/06 03:32 AM
I got used to it....

THE WORST is coming in the summer... the resonance when the darn a/c is on kills me.... NOW I CAN NOT STAND THAT MOOSE
Posted By: Chrisf695 Re: ru-3530 or ru-1785? - 06/09/06 03:41 AM
the fitment part i ment with the BAT MTF adaptor. What do you mean by the moose? sorry i'm new.
Posted By: ConcepTrs913 Re: ru-3530 or ru-1785? - 06/09/06 03:43 AM
the resonance.... it sucks.

In lamens terms I guess you can say humming.

Just search "moose" in duratech performance. You'll find that searching will find anything.

Moosing is in the FAQ on the main page. Basically it's a noise that comes from the IAC as a result of using an open air filter. Some use the TH fix to solve this problem.

Yeah, if I ever encounter a moose, I have some serious questions to ask him.

Or you could take a look at the RX-4730. It's a good fit.

K & N

Since my car is now gone, I gave this filter and MAF adapter to my bro-in-law with an SVT. It fits even better on his!

So you "got used it" but can't stand it?

Why deal with it if you can just do the TH fix and get rid of it?

1785 fits better on the MAF and has more CFM and is a larger intake.. dont see why not go for the better filter here..

one post would have handled it

btw it looks like your heat sheild is backwards, you aren't suppose to close the fender off and leave the filter open to the engine bay ...

WTF.. didnt mean to post 3 times.. my bad.

And no, the heat shield isnt backwards, its open to the fender cause that end has no.. end.. i kept the top part for stability and it looks better. The other side is completely sealed off. Believe me, it works.

The engine is where the cfm flow rateing comes from. Both thoes filters will beable to handle the cfm flow rate of a N\A 2.5L

My moose only does its mating call in the winter. It's never done it in the summer with or without the AC on.
