It is a cable driven speedo.. Is there anyway to modify that to a speed sensor?
Willing to do the work needed and all.. a friend of mine says that he thought that you could install the vehicles speed sensor on the transmission and convert it.
I would just like more than one opinion.
Let me know what you think.

I don't think that you will need the early SVT gages but you need to search aesthetics becasue for it to work in a pre98 you need to modify the curcuit on the back of the cluster, it has been done, that and you need to make sure you have a non-cable drive speedometer

Yes you do need to get the early SVT gauges. The later ones require a lot more work to get them to function with earlier cars. I believe that there were also 3 different versions of the SVT cluster for '98 cars. The E0 having 2 different versions with differences in how the speedo connects to the circuit board....
