Do you have a factory keyless entry system and PATS???

I recon you may be able to program it to automatically go into kill mode after two minutes. Even if you have the correct PATS key, you can't start it... Something like that...

nope...no PATS

what im kindof looking for is just a switch or button that i have to press before i start it (obviously thats what a kill switch is lol) but something simple....

You could wire a switch in line with the starter wire. Then if the switch is not on the starter will not spin. This would not kill the engine if it was running but it is an easy thing to do.

Otherwise I think you would have to figure out which coil pack wires to interrupt and then put in a single pole multiple through switch.

A Kill switch does nothing but make it easier to Steal the car unless done very stealthy.

Reasoning why.. You have to cut the starter wire and then run 12volts into the relay from some where or Ground. soo they rip your dash off grab the relay and pull out the connectors, Strip the Constant power wire and cut the ignition wire. wrap the ignition wire around the power wire and touch the Stater wire to the constant. Bam! i now have your car. Soo if they don't have to search for the starter wire which some times is the hardest to find. Makes it super simple.

I find the idea of installing a kill switch (if placed wisely) appealing as well. I find anything that delays or stalls a would be thief is well advised. I used one on my last car, as much for anti theft as the fact that it was often parked for long periods, isolating the battery, making it a very useful mod.

Just think it through.

We had a car at work that had their turn signal stalk wired so that the right blinker had to be on for the car to start.

If the relay isn't hidden then all you have to do is rip of the Starter wire and touch it, doesn't matter if the turn signal is on or not. and 99% of installers in the world won't hide the relay becuase it not worth their time.

also when a thief sees a wire cut in half and run else where thats a big signal just yank the wire cuase its the starter..

thats interesting ...

you could check ebay out and pick up a system 3/4 Ford security system. it works with or without keyless entry and has a starter interupt

I had that on my tour, but I removed it. It got very cumbersome for me to continualy stoop forward to push that switch as I crank it over. I took it off, and now, the car honks three times after a door is open for more than 11 seconds.

Run a switch from the fuel pump. It'll start but won't run for long. No kill switch would be hard for a 'would-be' thief to figure out what is not working, but chances are would be more trouble than they feel it's worth. More likely than not they just want your Reba cd's and subs.
