Here is my dyno from an SVTOA dyno day. The numbers are much better than last time when it went crazy.

The first run was at 15% in Linear mode.
205.7 HP and 190.6 lb-ft

Second run is at 20% in drag mode.
209.7 HP and 190.2 lb-ft

just out of my pure ignorance, can you explain the difference of linear and drag mode?

i am very interested in purchasing a Venom unit. Do you think, if you have a few minutes one day - we can chat - either through AOL IM or YAHOO or even PM?

Cool numbers. Love the tourque!

In linear mode, the nitrous comes on low and increases as your RPM's rise.

In drag mode, the full shot is sprayed all at once.

The dyno shows a small represention of it. If it was set higher the difference in the two might be more noticable. I am going to PM you my e-mail, I don't have AIM or Yahoo. If you have any more ? just ask.

what size shot were you running when you got your 26X hp numbers? right now is it around 50hp?
Posted By: VenomSVT_dup1 Re: Dyno with Venom on 8/4/2002 - 08/23/02 11:55 PM
I had it selected at 20% that time too. It was spraying way to much. It had one hell of a kick... I was waxing 300+ HP firebirds with no problem.

What is your best 1/4 mile?

so why'd you turn it down???

so it didn't go boom? or blow the welds on your intake? :-P

I don't think so bro. With the current mods on my SVT I'm able to keep in close contact to my friends Camaro SS down the straight(no forced induction, no nos) on our local Road Course. Remember, a well modded SVT has a lot of power, speed up top especially. I have no doubt NOS will make for a bumper to bumper or better race between an LS1

Damn, You finally have it running right! That is a great feeling to have!!!! Glad to hear. So when are we going to see it in action??? I have a week of vacation that I need to schedual in the next 3/4 weeks. I know I need to get that set so we can plan a KC Trip down to a real strip like HTP! How does that sound? Cool Can't wait to see that setup up again. It looks soo sweet!

Venom, glad to see the kit is working properly now. Excellent numbers. I definately want to ride in an SVT w/ NO2 one of these days.

I could be wrong, but I thought the chemical equation was one N atom and 2 O atoms... I always thought it was sorta like "extra oxygen" that makes it so much fun. Anyone want to clarify? Now that Chad's brought this to my attention...I feel like an idiot.

not like it matters, but i waxed a buddys 95 A4 trans-am (V8) by 2+ car lengths when i was spraying a 70 shot in my 95
was really cool and stuff, cause he was really pissed that he got beat by a 4 door family car

Nope...It is N20...2 Parts Nitrogen 1 Oxygen....NO2 would be a piston melting disaster.

Nitrous is not an "added" fuel or oxygen. Nitrous simply allows the fuel you already have to burn faster and more efficent. I have been reading this book by SA about nitrous. I suggest anyone interested in nitrous read it. I know a lot about the use and install of n2o but learned a lot reading this!

Same book I got.
It is very informatice, what parts I've read anyway.
I'll have to spend more time reading it.

I didn't really turn it down. I sent the valve back to get it fixed.

Sleeper, my last trip to the track I ran a 14.7 @ 98 mph.

I didn't realize how bad my tire were. I would spin all through 1st and 2nd. I looked at them a coupe day later and found that I had taken strips of rubber off them , all the way to the belts. So I have not drove my car in 3 weeks because of the tires.

Ahhh, now we know why you're down to the cords, LOL.

Yea, that's one of the reasons. The other is that I have over 30,000 miles on them. But the track did them in for good.

That sounds like a good idea to me. When ever you want to go just let me know. The KC boys and I were going to go to Topeka this Thursday but I don't have my tire situation cleared up yet. Maybe we can head out there soon, and when the weather gets cooler.

I know that I can do better. It was 90+ degrees out with about 80-90% humidity when I ran the 14.7.

I don't know if he will run the drag radials. He has a set of 555. PHATsvt ran those first at a group meet at the track. He supercharged beast had 5K on a new tranny I think. Well, lets say his car didn't make it through the burnout with out snaping and breaking! Well if you do run them Venom then I wan't to know how good you run! I want to see another time in the 13's! The first of any Kansas CEG member. Sam your not far off either!
Posted By: Buckshot77_dup1 Re: Dyno with Venom on 8/4/2002 - 08/30/02 12:18 PM
Sheesh I ran his 555's for a good 8-10 passes a couple weeks back and had no problems with 4-5K burnouts!!! LOL I've even got video of it.

Rick, don't compare your HMS super-trans to our mere mortal transmissions ever again. Makes us jelous...

W3rd up yo!

I am tempted to try those meaty radials myself though... Sure would beat smoking the balonies through second and 2.4x and worse 60 foot times...

Honestly though I bet my clutch would drop before my tranny did. It slips already when I get traction on launching and the 1-2 shift...
