There must be something you can still do to improve your launch, those 2.5-2.6 60" times leave room for improvement. First time out, your times are supposed to suck while you experiment.

But in case no one's brought this up to you before, you're risking your stock differential.
Icy - come race with me here in Chattaboogy. I'll hand it to ya with an ATX!

All that weight doesn't help, but yeah you need to work on the driving a bit. My escort runs 10.5xx

contours aren't "drag" cars, anyways so save yourself some disappoint and find a good twisty road or a long highway, you will hacve more fun there!

I have plenty fun at the strip...Who cares if they aren't designed to drag as well as others, still fun.

He lives right close to the tail of the dragon and other mountain roads. And I'm sure he knows the csvt isn't a drag car, but like you said, it can still be fun to do occasionally.

I just wanted a feel on what the car would run really compared to my girls car(see the ion redline post on here) The twisties are great i go to the dragon alot when i have the chance. I live about 20 min from the dragon and about the same from cherohala(sp) skyway. I just like drag racing alot and test and tune is only $15 from 2 to 11 so its pretty cheap and some fast cars come up there.now i'm going to try and get a feel on how much i'll have to spend to go fast!!!!!!!
Spend it on the Ion; it's already faster.
