Yea exactly. A slow car beat another slow car but this slow car hasn't had a beat another slow car that looks fast in a long time. Thats why I posted. I know my car isn't fast, don't take that as bragging. I seriously doubt you paid less for your SVT than my car. I paid $1000. Newho, glad we got things straightened out. fwiw, i loved my csvt. but i bought it knowing full well it wasn't ever going to be a "fast" car. just a quick one that was a blast to drive.

fwiw, i loved my csvt. but i bought it knowing full well it wasn't ever going to be a "fast" car. just a quick one that was a blast to drive.

Yes this is a contour forum but i do have an interesting story of a race with my car and yes it was on a track.

I am not sure if its because of his driving but i recently beat a turbo'd Jetta running 21 PSI. He also had exhaust, intake, and a custom tuned chip.

I have a stock SVT, soon to put headers, intake, and exhaust just waiting to install.

I dont know about what you guys think but i was pretty happy to have beaten him.

What do you all think?

14's and low 15's is quick. high 13's and low 14's is very quick. high 12's and low 13's is fast. high 11's and low 12's is very fast. high 10's and low 11's are wicked (on the street). everything faster is just plain sick.

And yea im with you, but i think anything over 13's is VERY fast, anything thats mid 12's and down is pretty sick.

I know Owen who is running a 2.5L SVT with y-pipe and catback, P/S Alternator pullies, and some other junk is running like 14.0 flat with a 100 wet shot.

I haven't technically hit 13's yet. With 10 less WHP and 5 less WTQ, I did 14.4 @ 96 N/A. I'd like to think I can hit low 13's, maybe even a 12.9 with a 100-125 shot. We'll see what I end up doing.

I'm impressed... impressed that the jetta owner could find a turbo small enough to not have enough power @ 21 psi to beat a contour.
