I've had my contour for over eight years and finally took it to the drag strip this morning. Started at 9 AM, and it only got warmer from there, so my best time was my first time. Here are the numbers:

R/T: .797
60': 2.435
330: 6.737
1/8: 10.266
MPH: 69.95
1000: 13.303
1/4: 15.903
MPH: 86.82

I'm happy with it considering I had a CEL for bank 1 upstream O2 sensor.

Good job! Looks good to me.

Awesome job..

the MTX should be able to crank out a 2.2x 60' with moderate practice, and that will lower your numbers some. (2.1xx is a feat!!!)

For being the first time that you tracked your car, you did exceptionally well.

I've done my first drag race last Wednesday with my completely stock Contour with 120'000 miles on it with original spark plug, I have to change them.

R/T: .939
60': 2.423
1/4: 16.163
MPH: 86.68

I have to change my spark plug, work on my 60' and that will be better!

That's really quite good.

With a better launch and no CEL (maybe add to it fuel tuning) and that's mid 15's easily.

You don't have $$ into your car. Your loss would be minimal at best.

Intake/lowering kit and you are in too deep to sell paleez
