Just want to make sure to register in the right class. In an otherwise STS car, my subframe connectors toss me into SM, correct?

-SHO Shop intake
-Proform shift light
-Steeda Tri Ax/F short shifter
-2.5" custom cat-back. Magnaflow res. with dual Magnaflow race series 6" mufflers
-Energy Suspension motor mount insert
-B.A.T intake pipe
-Front strut brace
-Rear strut brace
-MSDS headers with Jet Hot
- 94A poly filled rear roll resistor
-Magnecor 8mm wires
-SCT Xcalibrator 2 (tuned by Brenspeed)
-Koni adjustable struts
-Koni springs
-Subframe connectors

Headers and sub connectors both bump you... maybe not to SM though... maybe DSP?

What section of the rulebook is DSP in?

DSP is part of the street prepared section. I think your car is OK in DSP.

My eyes are getting tired from reading the rules in Adobe!

Subframe connectors bump you really far, into Street Mod. I belive the SFCs available for the Contour are just longitudinal pieces welded onto the frame rails, right? ad long as they don't have corss-braces, that's fine for SM.

Everything else looks good for STS, except the headers - they just put you in STX, though.

EDITED with correct info.

I'm going to update the "what class am I in" part of the FAQ with this info, now that SFCs are a popular mod.

Great update on the FAQ. That actually helped me quite a bit, as I was having trouble following what class lead to where. Now everything makes much more sense!

On another note, maybe Ill do some other SM mods if Im going to be stuck there anyway. I guess removing the rear seats wouldnt help the balance any, but Ill have to look at the rules again and see what else is OK.

Thanks Phil!

you can remove the rear seats and add a CF hood and fenders. If you want you can add a roll cage into the mix as well. Basically any suspension mod as long as it uses the stock mounting locations. A CAI legal as well where it is not in STS. You can run r comps as well, but you can do that for most classes

I have 2 cougs in SM its fun times
