Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives
I was bummed that the mustang was not finished, so I had to bring my daily driver. I love that contour! I only wish I had more than 2000 miles seat time before the event!

It was great, I even placed 2nd in the Focus/Contour Class!

too bad there was only 2 of us....
I want to try that at least once some time ...
you should, and since you are from new england, i highly suggest NESVTOA in Ayer, MA. Although the courses are fairly open (most of the guys have mustangs and lightnings), its a blast. I have only auto crossed with them, so i dont know anything different. But everyone that has done this and SCCA events will tell you these are much more fun. I can imagine this is true, a course thats over a mile spanned on 3 runways, with lap times well over 130 seconds, compared to parking lot course with 40 second laps.

let us know when the next one is then. Do you need to be a member if you want to run and how about helmets, do they have some for those that don't have one or do you have to have your own?

Nice job getting out there. You might want to suggest that your passenger keep his hands inside of the car, though, most clubs will DNF you for that run.
