Cancelled changes:

- Camaro SS from AS to FS
- Firebird WS6 from AS to FS
- Mazda Mazdaspeed Protege from DS to GS
- Mazda MX-6 (all) from GS to HS
- Toyota Celica GT ('94-98) from GS to HS
- Toyota Celica ST ('94-98) from GS to HS
- Ford Probe (all) from GS to HS
- Porsche GT3 to Stock exclusion list
- 2005+ Mini S from GS to DS

Also, the SP classes now allow boost control!

Too bad about the MSP, moxnix: that woulda been a good fight! Other than that one, I'm glad they didn't go through. I like watching FS now, and I like the HS/GS setup right now. It'll be interesting to see how the HS/GS cars that did go through run with the Coopers.

Why did they kick out the GT3? Was it that much better than the C5 Z06's?

Yeah I guess that guy from canada getting 6th in DS at nationals did not help with the move

I guess it is the STS2 miata for next year (at least I will have somewhat cheap tires )

Those are the canceled changes. They did not kick it out they left it in. They had brought out the request for comment about it because they thought it might kick too much ass in SS so they wanted to option to move it. After looking at nationals results they decided it was not going to completely disrupt the class so they decided to leave it in.

Oh OK, I guess I didn't read it well enough. The competition between the C5 Z06 and the 996 GT3 would be pretty fun to watch. I wonder if the C6 Z06 and other high-po 997 variants(GT3, Turbo, etc.) will get their own class?
