This was posted under "Aesthetics" by The Striped SVT and I for one am very interested. It's concerning the dead pedal from RedLine Tuning. WHO'S INTERESTED? Here are his comments:

I don't think that thing is going to work in our car, look at the pic, that isn't a Contour. Heres one that does work, I know, I have them made for us and have sold over 60 of them in the past couple years

I had this made because when I got the pedals from KKM it didn't look finished right there, so I came up with this design. It simply attaches either using two-sided tape, velcro or some have even screw it down into the floor This is a custom made piece, made out of aluminum and costs us $30.00 plus an extra $5.00 for S/H. Unfortunatley I can't have these made right now as I'm out of work rehabbing my shoulder, but I could have another batch of them made if theres enough interest, like about 10-15 of them. This leaves enough time for someone to put together some type of interest in the product again and let me know (maybe post something in the GB section as far as INTEREST CHECK ) The price is non-negotialble because the price is what the guy charges me and I don't mark it up, I just don't do that sort of thing I plan on going getting back to work sometime in February, so theres plenty enough time!

I want one so I guess I'm number one if it ever gets started.

I'll vouch for these things. I got one from Roger back in spring of 02, they look nice and really do make a ncie addition, and for $35 shipped, it's not a bad deal for a custom made piece.

I'll take one.

Me too. Cheaper than new carpet since I've worn a hole with my left foot. If this happens e-mail me at neilmc38@hotmail.com. Thanks.

Looks like we have (4) for sures and one maybe. I don't know what the ones look like that Dean are selling/making, but heres mine
Sorry about the flash in the above photo, it was either that or the fact that it was a sunny ass day

Heres another shot that also shows my custom sill plates as well as the dead pedal

I appreciate the testimonial Shawn and lets people know they're dealing with someone on the up and up. I also would like to let everyone know that I don't make a dime on these as they're sold for what it costs to have them made plus S/H. The price used to be $20.00, but the guy who makes them for us uses "new" stock now instead of the used stock he used to use, so the price is now $30.00 plus S/H. Theres no difference in the quality, but the guy has to do less work now to the metal to make them look good. In closing, if theres enough interest, the pedals would be ready in early March. I know its sometime away, but thats because I'm off work right now re-habbing my shoulder. Lets get about 10 orders and then I'll have my buddy get started making them for us again

I wish there was a raised one like this golf. Like the same level almost as the other pedals. This way I'm not stretching my leg to rest it . When working with these cars, it's was super comfortable for your foot.
One can hope

Sorry the jack the thread a bit, but was thinking there also might be a venture to make these later...

They have the raised ones in Honda's. My g/f has one in her 95 Accord. It makes things nice when on long trips.

How many pieces the kit would count? 3 pedals, 1 for the left foot and the 2 still plates = 6 pieces for 35$ i'm i right ?
If yes i'm in for sure they look pretty well !

The $35.00 is just for the dead pedal, not the 3 piece pedal set or the sills The 3 piece pedal set is avaible through KKM and costs about $35.00 IIRC and I don't plan on offering the sill plates because of the costs ($80.00) If you want sill plates, just order the ones from the FSVT, they look pretty good IMO and they fit perfectly

I would be very interested. I have the KKM pedal
set, and this would make it more complete.
Keep us informed 'cause I sure want one

Just wanted to let you guys know that I didn't forget about you and I plan on going back to work in mid-February, so I see them going out by the end of February. I'll let you know when I'll start accepting the money for them as I have to pay the guy for them when they're all done

Cool, I am still up for this, just let me know when and how you want the money.

Your S/H charges will probably exceed the $5.00 charge, I'll let you know when the time comes
