For anyone thinking about this, I would highly recomend it. I bought one from Chris while he was still in business for $109 polished. Only takes a couple minutes to put it in. I think I had mine in in a half hour or so, and that included cutting holes in the trunk carpet to put the bar though for looks. It was one of the most noticeable mods I've done to the car yet, more noticeable by far than the front brace was. For $89, you can't go wrong with this IMO.

I�??m in, after a little more information. How do the brackets attach to the shock towers? Your description says �??with stainless brackets. No bolts/drilling required.�?� The picture from Rev. Po-Jay seems to show the brackets riveted to the shock towers. Is the bar intended to be simply wedged between the shock towers?

Does that mean the bar is never under tension (the shock towers never flex apart)?

I am not sure I am comfortable with that. I am going to install a rear strut bar, but had intended to weld in the brackets. The price is right and I am sure the polished aluminum looks very nice.

The brackets can be easily welded in place. There is a piece with right handed and left handed threads on it. When the nut in the center is tightened it extends the bar outward holding it in place. I have had mine in for well over a year and it has never moved or caused anything but better cornering. It was designed to be easily removable with a simple crescent wrench. I would personally cut a slit in the carpet rather than removing like Po'Jay did. Mine goes right over the carpet.

Wow! That was a quick response! I got into the archives and saw that this subject was beat to death when Chris Hightower was offering this design. Much more comfortable with the mounting method and you can definitely count me in. I do need mine by mid April though (car must be complete by then for domestic tranquility reasons!)

Even though HPP is officially defunct, I am still going to be the salesman and say this is one BEEFY chunk of metal that is the best suspension mod (short of new struts and springs and sway bar) that you can get. For a simple looking product, there was a LOT of R&D put into this thing that we are all proud of. I still need to get a final design product, since I have been running around with a 1st gen prototype of the bar
