Wouldn't it go where the rest of the steering wheel face goes? I'm no expert on airbags or anything, but I didn't think the whole wheel assembly just flies out and rams you in the nose or anything?

Are these a one time thing? Reason I ask is because reproducing the Ford or SVT logo would be a copyright infringment. Just looking out guys, I ran into similar issues with the emblem mod I provided.

Last time I checked Ford's financials they were $330 million in the hole for the last quarter and the stock is down 34 cents

I would say the Ford ones would be the normal white on blue,and the SVT would be the red lettering on a white background.
They would attach by sticky tape which is already applied to the badge.

exactly. i looked at the dash today. a black background would fit with the black steering wheel buttons and the plastic dash bezels that r black. the silver would give balance to my future silver pedals and shifter and shift knob.

id be in for one that has svt in silver on top of either black or t-red.

If we have to agree on one, why not go with the one that will fit in with 99% (taking into account gauge mods) of the cars

...red, black, silver, green, mid blue, prarie tan, CF, non-CF, painted, un-painted... they would all go for:

White background (like the gauges)
with
Black or Red(in honor of the cobra) "SVT"

That would really set off the white-face gauges that we had before every other car made!!

I think black background with silver SVT would go with more color schemes, nice and subdued. IMO white backgrond is too flashy.

My whole point was that the white face would match the gauges on ALL SVT's (have I seen mods with different?). If we can live with the "flashy" gauges, why not go all the way with a little sticker

If possible i want a T-Red/Silver. There seems to be a struggle with people who have T-Red SVTs and the ohter colors who want black on silver(no carbon). Why black? Black wouldn't look good on any car. I first said CF because I want to do a CF interior, but for most people I think the white would work because it would at least match the gauges.

Can we work on what the SVT will look like? The font on the lightning one matches our rear badge, and would match the gauges if the the letters could be separated with fine lines (the color of the background), so that the SVT would agree with the gauges.
Also, I would recommend that the "SVT" lettering isn't overdone (too big).
Anybody with the mad photoshop skilz want to give us some general ideas of lettering sizes?

I think u should erase that and (Everyone dont get mad at me) throw in a carbon fiber one. Ive seen a couple other requests for carbon fiber with silver lettering. Im not trying to cut u down at all but it is real easy to find the regular stock blue ford emblems. Just my 2 cents.

I think you could ditch the blue ford in favor of the CF one. The blue ford ones are already made by ford. Older escorts have em, they can be found in junk yards, same with focus'.

Ok the first things first SETTLE DOWN. There have been other posts on a BLUE FORD EMBLEM (BLUE FORD EMBLEM) to clarify. I didnt say anything about ur t-red. So just relax and everything will be just fine.

I think everyone is being way too selfish about this. There is 4 colors of SVT's. A red background will not look good with at least 2 out of 4. A black background won't look good with any of them, except MAYBE the black. There has to be a happy medium here people. Remember, this is only a $5 sticker.

Dear lord, silver svt on black, its the most nuetral combination. There should be no discussion. Just get things going!

OMG, are you trying to tell me that red is a more versatile color than black. How would red look on a green svt. Maybe they should start making our tires and trim red.

I can see why this GB has not gone anywhere. Is it that hard for everyone to agree on something. I would have given up too.

I know none of you want to start the arguing again but where did you get SVT Carbon????? One of the highest if not the most wanted was the T-Red. But whateva ya'll do I should be in (depending on price). Count me in.

Just trying to do with something neutral/universal for everyone. There seemed to be a lot of interest for the carbon fiber ones too.

Amazing!! I actually sat here and read all 21 pages of this thread, and in amongst the name calling and fighting about colors, I have yet to see anything definitive about the price or shipping. Personally, i think pretty much everyone on this board would get a "sticker", if they knew about this, so I don't think getting AT LEAST 200 orders would be out of the question.

I said that not to piss off other contour owners, I was just adding my 2 cents for SVT owners who were interested. I didn't need to be flamed!! I wasn't out to insult or degrade other Contour owners, just trying to move this GB along!!

I do not want to continue any trend and i am not the only want that wants red ok. If you are going to have a GB on something for the contour....why not acommadate everyone. If this can't be done then there shouldn't be a GB. Why would i want an svt sticker if i don't have an svt? Why would i want a black or carbon fiber one if my car is t red/ tan interior? RED is a popular color and i just would like to see it for our cars. I also want the GB started asap too so you are not the only one!

You know what?? Maybe all SVT owners should just leave this GB and start our own....that way we're not offending anyone that DOESN'T have an SVT.

I agree with SVTMike in saying that I don't understand what you're so angry about, we're just giving our opinions about SVT badges because....well....we own SVT's. It has nothing to do whether or not we "think we're better" than everyone else or anything like that. And I don't feel the need to apologize because we happen to own SVT's! Sheesh!....

this whole thing is gay. at first i was very interseted. but seeing as though how hard it is to try and get a damn sticker, just isnt worth it. good luck.
