There was a post in the General Mods forum a while back about speed limiters and things of that sort, and having a superchip GB was mentioned. So post back and let me know if there is any interest out there for one. If I get a good amount of people, I'll search around and see if I can get us some sort of a deal..

they can, not sure if a group buy will allow this though.

from what i hear it's well worth it for us ATXers,, ya'll of ya'll interested in this may wanna find out your computer's code and check with superchips to see if they have a chip available for your car or not. (they answer e-mails, unlike diablo).

Well,I certainly need some performance for my atx. Should i get all my mods(intake,exhaust,nitrous ect.) and then get a chip custom burned. Or perhaps should I just go ahead and get the chip? I am confused. I don't want to pay 400 or 500 dollars for a custom burn if it isn't nescesary.
Will it hurt the chips performance if i just start adding mods to my car that aren't programmed into the chip.

well i got a response from duratecperformance.com....for a group buy of 5 or more we can have the chips for $185. i dont believe that includes shipping...
nikolas will need to check to see if diablo has a program for the computer code your car would need
on a side note he reports that diablo has trouble removing the speed limiter, so that is something to think about...im almost to the point of trying the vss mod that has been describe on this site before

i'd prefer a superchip, better customer service, less problems. diablo chips already cost less, performance ford sells them for $199, so that's not some huge deal,,, i'd rather see superchips for under $200.

no, you have to get your car dyno'd and a/f plots and send them to them and pay something around $200 or more i believe for custom program. it's expensive, but worth it if you have lots of mods,,, if you just have intake,exaust, and a few other things, a normal program should be enough.
I have heard many more good things about the superchip vs. diablo. Did anyone contact them?
get the superchips....i've heard some bad things about diable. talk to chris at
www.ctamotorsports.com about the diablo..i believe he's had some major issues with them that he pulled Diablo's out of his line of products.
also - if you have an RJL1 code for an SVT....i haven't had much luck with it. it helps down low, you can tell in the dyno graphs. if i ever get the graphs all lined up correctly, i'll post the dyno graphs.

i thought i'd heard better things about the diablo than i had about superchips but maybe now there are enough diablo's around that feedback is coming through and it happens to be sorta negative....i was told in the reply i got that diablo has trouble removing the speed gov, and most of us want it removed, so i did find that a sticking point

I don't know what's going on with the RPM's from the two different days.....I think they are just off from one day to the other.
you can see - don't be fooled by the HP number. My max HP from run one was 168hp....which is about the same as with the Superchip. It's the tourque that is impressive.

Sometimes, used chips and new chips show up on Ebay. Usually for a lot less then the retail price.
But then you have to spend $125 to reprogram it, so usually not a bargain.

$45 to reprogram it at KKM my chip will come out to be a little over $155 total, meaning i save about $65.
