Hey folks,

I have been trying to get a group buy going with trubendz.com for a month or so now. Instead of a group buy, Josh is going to have a sale from June 12th to the 26th.

10% off the standard kits, but unfortunately, not the resonated kits

Here is the e-mail he wrote me:

Your e-mail couldnt have come at a better time. Believe it or not, I
saved
the last e-mail about a month back and was meaning to contact you.

We're going to set up a Group Buy, or rather a "discount period". We've
found it's easier to just lower the prices for a window period than
start
"lists" and deposits, etc.

Here's the deal, the period will run for 2 weeks. We will start it on
Monday
June 12th. And run it until Monday June 26th. All "standard" kits will
be
reduced 10%. This does not include tubing kits, y-pipes, testpipes, or
resonated kits. This does include 3 inch (standard) kits.

There is no minimum to start and anyone can order. We will adjust the
prices
on our website so anyone can order, ANYTIME. We will ship orders as
regular... no delays. HOWEVER, we cannot predict overall sales,
therefore;
any orders made late in the period might be delayed until kits are done
being made (possible 1-2 weeks). We have most kits in stock now.

Finally, this will also tie in with Cougar exhaust kits. So please feel
free
to pass the word to NECO (FastCougar Forums).

Let me know if I might have missed anything.

they did this last year too i remember. Looks like a good idea for anyone who wants the Non-resonated System.
Posted By: BlackE1 Re: Tru Bendz Sale/Group Buy - 06/08/06 07:12 PM
I wanted a non-resonated system but with just removing the pre-cats and installing headers I get rasp at 2750 rpm when cold. Just a little worried what it might sound like with a non-resonated system?

Probably like crap. I would only be seduced into this by a discounted resonated system.

Why cant he discount the tubing kits. I want to buy one but I am waiting for the right time.

What is the difference in sound with and without the resonators? Does adding the resonators mellow the sound?

MUCH more raspy without a resonator(s). I too am only interested in the resonated kit, but I thought I would let everyone know anyways!

I have MSDS headers, MSDS y-pipe, stock cat, and trubendz 2.5" magnaflow non-resonated. The sound is mellow and really nice at idle. It sounds great as your tearing through the gears. Doesn't sound raspy, but it does get loud highway cruising over 80mph

Is it raspy when its cold? If so how long till the rasp goes away.

You want Resonated, its a Shame Trubendz cant see this otherwise they would make a killing off group buys.

Buy the kit. Then just go buy the resonator seperate.

Resonator is 50 dollars including shipping.

there standard kit costs 310.00
there resonated kit costs 410.00

ding ding ding. Buy it ur self and order the magnaflow resonator seperate. for 50.00.

That saves u 50 dollars.

310.00 - 10%= 279.00 + buy ur self resonator. 50.00
279.00+50.00= 329.00

Lets say they offered the resonated kit on sale

410.00- 10%= 369.00

resonated discount - standard catback discount.
369 - 329 = 40 dollars saving.

Geeze that sounds better to me

Is that for each resonater?

Same thing minus the nice Chrome Double walled tips and the welding

Do your homework.... The trubendz kits have dual resonators, and like he said, welded tips, gotta figure the labor of the welding into that too....

My fault.. my memory didn't serve me right. Been looking at other exhausts. Forgot trubendz standard kit didn't come with mufflers towards the back.

im a little retarded, whats goin on sale? The complete non resonated exhaust kits only?
Posted By: posthuman63t Re: Tru Bendz Sale/Group Buy New price - 06/10/06 05:52 PM
non-res standard kits 3" diameter piping.

side note -

On my Stock SVT (just K&N) I have the same kit being offered on discount. I get no rasp in winter or summer. Real nice mellow tone on idle. The only thing thats annoying is on the interstate doing like 70-75 hearing the constant tone of the exhaust kind f sucks after a few hours on the interstate. When I get my 3L in and headers and opt y, i think I am going to get some res. just becaus eI think it will be too loud with the whole exhaust opened up, up front.

If only it was for a Resonated kit, I'd get it

Resonators are overrated. I have a trubendz kit...magnaflow muffler and one cat. Car sounds fantastic. AND NO DRONE!
