SPEC clutches and flywheels

I just purchased a clutch from a company called TREperformance and they were much lower then anyone else I found. Because they had such fantastic service I asked if they would do a group purchase if other people were interested. So he is looking into it for me, but how many would be interested? The SPEC clutches and flywheels drop ship directly from SPEC in Alabama so the minute you put your order in it gets forwarded to SPEC.

How much do they cost originally? (how much did you get yours for) And is this for clutch + flywheel combo purchases or can we just buy the clutch or just the flywheel.

Hmm I should. 75,000 miles, I bet I still have a bit to go on the stocker. Depending on the price, I'm interested.

Ok guys well I bought just the SPEC stage 1 clutch, which was 289.99 plus 19.99 shipping.

Here is the email he sent me back after I inquired about the group discount:

We would offer a 5% discount for group purchases, but there is very little margin for profit on these clutches. We also would not want to deal with any of the work, so whatever group purchase would be involved, 1 person would have to contact us and tell us how many clutches to ship and where.

Not a huge discount, but as he says little margin for profit. Not sure if you guys are still interested but start a list. I'll figure out more details on payment options.

SVTCuervo offers Spec products as well. Spec 1 clutches run $272 + $22 Shipping for a total of $294 from him. Thats $15 saving over the total price from the place you got yours (not the GB price) Just a FYI for everyone

Any reason for going over Stage 1? I'm sure you've read about the stage 2's? And the stage 3 is for heavy duty applications, and don't have near the longevity of a Stage 1. Just curious if you have F/I plans?

I don't know anything about the stage 2's. But Mark and I both have the stage 1's and similar mod lists. I couldn't be happier with it, performance wise. I'll be even happier when my SPEC flywheel is installed, rather than sitting in my closet.

Its not for my car, but yes it will be going on a Turbo Contour

Has anyone used the SPEC 3 Plus?

Several people are suing spec 3's, I don't know of anyone running higher than that though.

I actually think he means the Spec stage 3+, and not just the stage 3 or above. Spec revised some of their clutches for better pedal feel and durability.

Yes, I was talking about the "plus" one. Just curious, since I have trashed my regular Spec 3 somehow.

It pretty much died as no one made a list. However we can get a much better deal through one of our own. Here is a PM which I got from SVTCuervo:
