How many people would be interested in steering wheel covers? It will be Wheelskins style that wraps tightly around the wheel and is threaded on. It will be made from carbon fiber fabric, or Leather. I have some carbon fauxber vinyl and will make a prototype. Before I order supplies, I would like to get a feel for demand.

Material?
Colors?
Two tone/single tone?
sounds like a cool idea! id be in deffinatly

as for colors, dont just do midnight blue lol...get some grays and tans goin for the outcasts of the group ....two tone would be cool, if you can get a good combo.

i like the idea!
Gotta make a yellow one for Kremit

Personally I think black would look best on most cars. Black shift boots and guage bezels are used in all interiors unless painted.

I could possibly be in...def need pics though.
I would be in for the leather and more than likely go w/ the MB.

Estimated price?

what type of steering wheel covers do svt's and post 98's have? Are they the same as my 95? Cause that thing is niiiiiiice.

Possibly, depends on what is on it and color choices.

I might be in...depends on color options, etc.
My SVT's wheelcover is shot. I have a ford racing wheelcover on there from Autozone, but if this is a nice replacement I would consider it.

IN!!! My midnight blue wheel is now like, daybreak grey. So I'm in for MB or black... cf inserts would be cool, but not necessary.

I might be interested.

Depends on color, price, etc.

Big thing is I'm looking for mostly black. But It needs to have a spots for the drivers hand that are of a different color.

Black steering wheel = burnt paddies in the summer.

Who, Steve? No sir, he is deathly serious. As serious as a homosexual ass-clown can be. Not that there's anything wrong with that, clearly he just prefers it in the butt.

Laugh it up Capt. "I spent 3 months putting in a 3L so I could sell my car two weeks after I finished." Damn, you have a long name!

......and I like my wing. Back off.

Posted By: Tourgasm Re: Steering wheel cover interest check - 04/21/06 06:27 PM
Demand seems rather low, I'll try and put one together this weekend
Posted By: Berkel Re: Steering wheel cover interest check - 04/21/06 06:51 PM
I'll be interested if we can get some pics up.

They should just make a cover for the entire fading blue interior

Posted By: Mod-deth Re: Steering wheel cover interest check - 04/21/06 06:53 PM
I think some pics would fuel interest a lot...
Posted By: CSVT#49 Re: Steering wheel cover interest check - 04/21/06 09:41 PM
I agree

I'd be in for one too as I am in need of a steering wheel cover pretty bad.

I bet I can find some pics quick... I was looking into these for my 94 SHO.
Posted By: CSVT#49 Re: Steering wheel cover interest check - 04/21/06 09:43 PM
go here:

http://www.wheelskins.com/original_wheelskin.php#

You have to select the colors and it pops up a close up picture of the leather. I think the "blue" or "sea blue" might be close to midnight blue. I also put in an order for free swatches of the colors with the perforated leather (the link is right below the colors on the right hand side).

I finished a prototype in black carbon Fauxber vinyl that looks pretty damn good. I haven't decided how I want to bind it. I'm thinking either holes like wheelskins, or eyelets. The first would save money but the second might save me from a cease and disist order. Any input on how you'd prefer it will be helpful. I'm trying to keep cost around $20 depending on material used. as soon as I figgure this out, I'll put it on and take pictures.

Hey guys I just got my samples today, pretty quick turnaround. They look like they have a perfect match for the Midnight Blue. There "Blue" is an awesome match. Here are some pictures:

Looking at all of the samples against my freshly painted triple gauge pod A-pillar:

I'd be interested but like everyone else said, depends on price and color options. I'd like to see what gray or silver/with midgnight blue would look like maybe
