I know that this thread was removed because pricing was revealed to be lower than could be advertised, so please, nobody reply with the price that they paid and this shouldn't get locked. I'm starting this thread to see who got theirs and/or shipping confirmation.

I just got my shipping confirmation from the vendor (who will also go unnamed) ... we all know the relivant information, so please be vague on purpose.

Anyway ... mine should be here by the 18th of January

Now I just need to get the car running

I can still get in on this as long as I order one before the end of January, correct?

Put in my deposit on the 1st. Hopefully I will get the full amount in before the end of the week.

Xcal2 and PRP for me.

Who do we need to talk to to get a tuning Forum set up? By the time this is over there will be quite a few people tuning with SCT.

I believe SCT has a tuning forum. You can ask any questions you have about the PRP, and they'll answer it. I could be wrong.

If any of you have questions on the Group Buy, please PM me. I can give you the information you're looking for.

Yes, SCT has a PRP forum with all the value files and info you could hope for. You just need to have your PRP serial number (whatever the number is that you unlock the software, that is) and PM the Mod for that forum and it will become unlocked for you to use.

The additional manual is well worth the added $$, and is a must have IMHO.

Sweet! I'm guessing you had the base tune for a 3.0L? Can't wait to hear how things go! Now get to work so it's up and running by Spring Zing.

I mean that we need a tuning forum on the CEG. Somewhere were everyone with tuning software can ask questions and help out. That way the various tuning threads won't be scattered all over the CEG.

It would also be nice to be able to upload and exchange files. But that would really up the bandwidth requirement for the CEG.

[insert vendor name here] has my $$... I just have to get him my code

The forum idea is kind of cool... might convince me to later get the PRP.
Posted By: posthuman63t Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 01/19/06 11:51 PM
I'm ordering tomorrow. Full PRP. 1/2 down...I'm stoked.
Posted By: Tourige Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 01/19/06 11:54 PM
Just wondering if this is worth getting with full exhaust and intake. i dont plan on doing any other performance mods, what do you guys think?
Posted By: Stazi Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 01/20/06 03:35 PM
Seeing as you're doing headers as well as a cat back and intake, just the Xcal2 (not PRP) would be a good addition to the current mod-plan.

I think you should take the plunge into the 3L world. Then you'll have an excuse to get the full PRP.

I just put half down on the PRP...when I call with the final payment in a couple weeks, I'll need to give Brent my processor code. He explained where it was, but God forbid all I remember is its on a white sticker near the kick panel and 3 letters 1 number. I think it might be useful to everyone in here who doesn't have theirs to know where to find it. So if anyone can explain it a little fuller, it would be appreciated.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe ALL 2000's have the XGT1 code. I'm almost certain though, that it's been discussed. Just look for that code on your sticker, cause I bet it's there.

lol...I'll quote you...but I want to be 100% for sure. The white sticker is my problem...he said i had to remove a panel by on of the footwalls or something...where is it?
Posted By: ButtonPuncher_dup1 Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 01/24/06 09:11 PM
It's under the glovebox. It think that the "foot" light is mounted to it. It's just a stiff panel that can be pulled out pretty easily. Hopefully someone else can post a pic. I don't have access to a camera right now.

All 2000's are XGT1

BTW, has anyone with the PRP recieved their base-tune yet (via email) from Brenspeed?

I just called him and made an order!
Posted By: Bronco_WRX Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 02/10/06 07:17 PM
I called SCTFlash technical support and this is how they told me to do it:

Put the date at the top, and leave the first column ("LICENSOR" column) totally blank. This is how the rest goes:

LICENSEE

Name of Entity: Your name here
Form of Entity: Individual
Jurisdiction of Organization: Your state here

By: Your name here again
Its: Leave blank

Address: Your address here

Fax: Fax number of the fax machine you're using to send it to them

License Fee: Leave blank because there is none

Who knows the fax number for this?
Posted By: Bronco_WRX Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 02/10/06 08:17 PM
The fax number is 407-260-6275.
The email address to send your SCGetCode key is: keys (at) sctflash dot com.

Also I forgot to mention that the form you have to fax in needs your signature on it, even though there's no place for one.

P.S. I faxed mine in 20 minutes ago and already got my registration code
Posted By: 99cougar Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 02/10/06 08:53 PM
yah i faxed it in but i did not know it needed a signature. Did you have to fax it in again?

After you got your registration code...what do you do with that? Send it to the keys@sctflash.com?

Well that sucks man!

How long did it take him...after you ordered to email you the tunes?
Posted By: posthuman63t Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 02/10/06 09:59 PM
uhm...I paid in full on the 31st...got the stuff yesterday, today sent off and got my code to use the prggy and he sent the tunes the same time as i got the proggy opened...anyone else have a processor code error?
Posted By: Bronco_WRX Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 02/10/06 10:22 PM
I got my tunes from Brent right away. I'm also having a processor error, though. It says processor code SFG2 is not found or something, plus when I hover my cursor over the tunes in the Open File menu, the details say it's for a 1987 Ford Mustang 2.0L I emailed Brent about it, but it was around 4:45 ET so I doubt I'll get a reply until tomorrow

omg it does! Id rather have a 92 escort than a 87 mustang...ew. anyways...you have a pm!
Posted By: Bronco_WRX Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 02/13/06 06:51 PM
Update:
I just got a voicemail from Brent at Brenspeed. He said that the "1987 Mustang 2.0L" thing doesn't matter, but if you got your license number from SCT and it isn't recognizing your pcm code when you try to open the tunes he sent you, it's a problem on SCT's end. I'll be giving them a call a little later.
Posted By: Bronco_WRX Re: PRP + XCal2 Soundoff! - 02/13/06 08:49 PM
Another Update:
I finally got it working after two new database files that SCT sent me. The database file (.mdb) is named with your four-digit "Racer Code" first and your four-digit PCM code second. They had my PCM code correct but my Racer Code was wrong on the original database and the first replacement, but it was right on the second replacement and now it works fine.

*Also a little heads up if you are getting a new database emailed to you: have the tech put the file in a .zip file to make sure your email client doesn't reject it as a malicious file.

looks like i will be going thru this process tomorrow...mine will not recognize the processor code either!

Yea, it sucks. but its an easy fix. Small file d/l. Ryan @ SCT can hook ya up.

Can you PM me and let me know what you said to him? OR is it something that happens often and he will know exactly what is happening?

I hate it when i have to call someone and explain something for 10 minutes and then they go "oh yah man that happens all the time just do this..." lol

You don't have time to be fiddling with a PRP anyways. You are supposed to be making turbo pipes so you can sell some to me

Just tell the tech that your PRP doesn't recognize your processor code (pcm code) and that you think it could be a wrong database file (which is a .mdb file that should be located in C:/Program Files/SCT/SCTuning), then give him your full name and the name of your .mdb file (8 characters long, the last 4 being your pcm code) and he/she can check if it matches what they designated for you.

You're about 5 months too late for the group buy. You should still contanct Brenspeed if you are interested in getting the PRP and xcal2. He can probably still get you a good deal.

I'm selling my PRP + XCal2 but it's for an SFG2 PCM. It probably wouldn't be all that hard to find the right PCM in a junkyard, though.
