Hi Mike,
The SVT Contour mats are still available in both tan and midnight blue
colors. We have enough carpet in stock to make 10 sets in each color. These
colors have been discontinued however and once the remaining carpet is gone
we will be unable to offer the SVT Contour mats.
Although these colors were developed for the Contour we have found that
there is quite a variance in color shades among different cars. Therefore we
can not guarantee an exact color match to your car. Some owners have said
the color is right on while others have said it is only fairly close.
The mats are made of 22oz heat set nylon carpet with woven polyester binding
and nibbed rubber backing. All high quality components. They have the SVT
logo embroidered in silver grey in the lower outside corner of the front
mats. The left mat has a grommet to accommodate the floor mat retention
hook.
The cost including UPS Ground shipping is $70.00 for a four piece set. (The
mats are sold in four piece sets only).
If you wish to order a set we ask that you mail a check for $70.00 payable
to Peter Eberhardt (the company owner). The address is Falcon Enterprises,
1305 E. Wakeham Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705. Be sure to include an address
that can receive UPS shipments.
From receipt of your check it will take about two weeks to manufacture the

So thats what we got. I wrote him back to see if we would get a discount on them if we ordered quite a few up front as well as the availabilty of black, grey and other colors for these mats as well.

Why should he give a discount? He's only got enough for 10 sets/color and $70 is about the same as it was 4 years ago. They really stepped up to the plate for us back in the day and asking for a discount is in poor taste, IMNSHO of course.
Yes I think 70 dollars shipped is a good price. Maybe if you were getting together 25-30+ orders then ask for a discount.
I know I bought VERY nice plush carpets for my tour and they were ~35 dollars. They are not a perfect fit, have no hole for clipping them in(
), and are black on a grey interior.(there was only a dark gray and it looked Farther off then the black.)
Now you're getting floor mats made-to-fit for the contour in the midnight blue, and shipped. 70 is a good deal in my opinion.
Good job and getting this together though! I'm sure by now some SVT owners need replacement mats setting even the 2000 SVT's are 5 years old.
If this is a go I am definitely in for a set. Should we set it up through here or do we individually go to him with the check etc. Just want to make sure that I don't go over someone's head with this one.

Do the the floor mats really have to be the same color as the carpet? I have tan interior, but I also have black floor mats, which match all the black plastic in the dash and the exterior paint. I wouldn't want any color other than black for the floor mats, especially not tan (bland/boring).
I have a set of these floormats which I bought from Falcon Enterprises about 6 months ago & they're great! They don't match my tan interior 100%, but they're close enough not to make a big deal about. The quality is top-notch & for $70 for all 4 it's a good deal. The only issue I've had so far are a few of the little nubblies on the bottom have fallen off, but otherwise they're great.

As a side note to the floor mats, has anyone ever redone thier carpet in the car.. 98 SVT is what I was thinking about replacing it in. The driver side is pretty nasty, and the passenger is actually probably worse(I think previous owner had the floor mat out on that side for some reason). If so, where is a molded carpet offered? Here is a place I found a pretty cheap, in my opinion, version that "fits" the contour. And for all new carpet including new floormats for around 200, is a nice interior upgrade for a car thats 7 years old... depending on how close it matches the floor mats

You should be able to find exact carpet replacement for any car. Google "car interior replacement" www.stockinteriors.com has every car. Its not that difficult to do. Just make sure you take your time.

I bought a set from Grant about 1 1/2 years ago. These mats are beautiful!! I can't bring myself to put them in except maybe on a gorgeous summer day or at a show.
The price is exceptional for the product.

Pictures.....BTW, the green pedals are now aluminum. The match isn't perfect, but easily close enough. And...my carpet isn't that dirty and the green LED's put a green cast on the carpet.

I think I have the same mats as wa2tuff. I bought mine off someone on eBay. These mats are amazing. 100 times better than the cheap thin stock ones.
Don't forget it is floor carpet. lol Color is faded by now at least slightly not to mention dirt in tan interior would put the color off! lol

Does the driver side front have the hole in the mat that fits on the hook on the floor. I have a set of ghetto mats in now w/out a hook and the things slide like crazy.

As for the colors I asked him to send me the color swatch so I will take digital pictures and host them. I asked for swatches of all the colors they had plus the SVT specific colors of MB and Tan so I will be able to take a picture of it against my MB carpet to show the difference. I'd assume it will be the same as the pictures posted, but who knows.
Keep in mind MB mat sets will most likely be limited to 10 sets! I've notice we already have 10 sets spoken for here so I would advise you to order promptly.

I'm sure there's some other place that has them... I wanted some OEM ones, but on Ebay they go for about this price anyway. I hear these are better quality, but who knows for sure until ya get em.
It rains a lot here (I would compare here to the Seattle area), so they're gonna get messed up.

Mine is going to take a while to get there... since uhh... I haven't even sent it off yet (DAMN 39 cent stamp issue unknown to me and DAMN contractor post office not selling stamps and DAMN me for forgetting twice to pick some up at the shopette).
Probly not an issue since a couple have backed out, though.
EDIT: know what, screw it, I'm out too... the check/MO-only and the shipping dealio (no APO/FPO) doesn't amuse me. I'll just get some cheap-o mats off Ebay till I can get some OEM ones.

6 ppl ordered and not 1 reply as to whether their payment was received and when they will be getting the mats?
Reason Im asking is b/c I was the 6th person to order which means the guy making these would have received 5 checks before mine...your telling me no one has got an update on the order?
I haven't recieved any sort of communication from him at all, however I did call him and let him(Grant McCormick) know that I was going to go ahead and send a money order. I included an email address and phone number etc along with my shipping information in hopes he would notify me, but he obviously hasn't been doing that, judging by your last post. He should have definetly recieved my money order yesterday or today, so I will send an email his way if he's no longer there at this time... (5:45PM EST) and try to see what's going on.
I couriered my check to him and he said that it was received and that my set would be ready to ship by Jan 31. I called and left a message and also sent an email. He contacted me via email. It took a day or two for someone to get back to me.

My check was received a while ago. I dropped Grant an email and he replied back letting me know that everything was good to go and that I should see them in a few weeks. I just noticed on my online bank statement that the check was cashed as of yesterday (1.20.06). So I'm thinking its just a matter of time before they arrive at my door.

I bought some powerline networking products from this "military friendly" site (found them via a link off aafes.com), who charged my credit card immediately for the purchase, then took a day to respond that my order has been processed (not too bad there)... but then a few days after that I got an email from them saying "1 or more items on your order have been backordered. They will be shipped when they become available." It didn't even tell me which items. Why the hell does a site sell something they don't have in stock!?!?!
At least Newegg let me know they didn't have enough to fill my order as soon as I tried to order it. This company needs to shape up, b/c they will probly never get any business from me again.

well dependong on the company, its quite possible that they dont have any actual merchandise on hand, that they drop orders off at some other company? Could be that if this is the case, the other company was out of stock atthe moment?

I dont think so...Just be sure to call Grant to make sure of the availability before you send the check...A few people backed out of the Midnight Blue mats and there wernt to many for the Tan mats...you should be alright though

Got home from class half an hour ago...The color is almost exact...You can barely tell a difference between my carpet and the mats...Great quality and definately worth it...

They're amazing quality...If i were to guess they're about a quarter of an inch to half an inch thick...Definatly worth the $70 bucks...You'll regret it if ya dont!

So our order should have reached them by now. Is there anyway a point of contact can update us via this thread whether or not ours (2) was accepted or if there was a cut off date so we'll know? I have pretty awkward work/sleep hours and making the call will be difficult to arrange. Any help would be appreciated....
These mats are absolutely amazing. The quality is so much better then stock. The carpet is probably twice as thick as the stock mats if not more. This is the best $70 I've spent on the tour to date. Fantastic product. Just waiting for my rear two mats.
Anyone who was thinking about getting these DO IT! You will not regret it.

Yes. Call him to find out what they have and order a sample so you can match it up. He was supposed to send me a set of samples, but never got around to it apparently.

I had emailed Grant a question about the mats, and I included another about what is still available.. Just as an update if anyone else is interested. He said he found another roll of carpet so there are quite a few number of sets left...

FWIW the tan in SVT's is called Prairie Tan. In pre98 cars it's Pumice which is a lighter tan.
