i am thinking about having another GB on my mesh.
here are the basics
an SVT set is three pieces of mesh, one piece big enough to do the grill and one piece for each bumper.
the bumper pieces will be rough cut to size and have slots cut out so they can be slid right onto the factory mounting tabs.
$50 shipped.
SE set: 2 pieces of mesh.
one for the grill and one for the lower bumper roughly cut to size.
i DO NOT know how this can be mounted to the bumper easily.
i need to get a closer look at an SE bumper to determine the proper size to cut the mesh.
but as for mounting, that will be left up to you.
i suppose it could be epoxied to the back of the bumper or fiberglassed.
$40 shipped.
GRILL: 1 piece of mesh.
1 piece for the grill

um, I posted pics in the post before yours
I am pretty sure it is aluminum and it is unpainted or what you might call natural in all the pics, there is a shiny and dull side too I beleive
as brian stated it is bare aluminum.
as for its shipped state, i pre-cut the pieces for the SVT bumpers so all you need to so is remove the factory plastic insert and slide on my mesh.
for the grill you have to pull apart your grill and install the mesh.
if you really need a pic of what it looks like for shipping, i can go out to the garage tomorrow and take pics of my templates for you.
Any chance that I can get a piece that'll replace that grill on the 2000 Stique?

Anyone thinking about this, let me puch you over the edge to do it. This is the best looking mesh I have seen for the Contour, SVT, and any other car out there. Really good quality and great look and upgrade for your car. You will not regret it.

you should be able to powdercoat it, but it would most likely chip if you flexed the mesh too much.

Does anyone have a pic of some Elky mesh on a tropic SVT? I want a set but Im not sure how its gonnalook on the green. Thats why I contemplated PC it black, but silver may look good with the chrome rear strip and front oval. TIA

My chrome strip is now painted and the reflector isn't but the mesh still looks great. Go for it!!

yeah it bends easily but it is very stong, elky has had it on his car for years now and nothing has happneed to it

I love the looks of the mesh. But to me it just looks cheap on SilFro. I don't think I've seen it on Tred yet. I better look into that.

its really not any different, heres the numbers,obv bottom pieces are the same as the svt, and the top is 18.5" wide,by 4.5"high..you can do that easily

The mesh is very nice and adds a very nice touch to the car. I wanted to step up to a little more agressive mesh and have since done so. I have the oval piece already cut so its a quick drop-in install into the oval. The bumper pieces were already precut by Elky and are also a quick drop in. If anyone wants this SVT set at a reduced price check the classifieds or PM me

i have the mesh, i just need to start the actual GB and start cutting.
i hope to start the GB this weekend.
I haven't been able to access CEG for a week or so... Internet sucks here, always timing out or not being able to access certain sites (like CEG).
I'll still be in on the GB, just might be a little delayed if I get more problems.
