First off: I would like to say this is not to "put down" or take business away from SAV's GB. My service will most definitely take more time to do and will cost a little more. My service is a little different.

This is for original marker rendering. Done on 9X12 marker paper with Prismacolor markers (for you artists out there). These renderings usually take about 6-8 hours to complete so turn around time will be longer seeing as I have a day job.

So let's get to the bottom line. $25 for each rendering. Shipping is included.

If interested send a high quality pic of your car by PM/Email (hectik79@yahoo.com). Renderings will done by order taken, so make sure to post here if email/PM is sent.

Here is an example of my work.....sorry it is not a Contour.

I will post an another example later.

i can vouch for hectors work...the guy has MAD skills.
I want one from you too, Hector!!!

I'll send ya a photo and payment when I send Savvy's, too.
Posted By: lsneo Re: Interest: Marker rendering of your cars - 08/10/05 04:19 AM
can i buy an artist rendering of you.

Meh, prismacolors are alright. I suggest you try a tria marker. A little more money but well worth it. Goodluck with your GB.
Looks cool hector, Id like to see a couple more scans of your work!

For the non artist, what are Prismacolor markers? Does that mean you can do the color of the car?
Posted By: esveetee Re: Interest: Marker rendering of your cars - 08/10/05 11:42 PM
yes, assuming he's doing the renderings how I used to in school he should be able to match car color as well as he has the markers to do so.

prismacolor is just the brand of markers that they are.

to do marker renderings you normally trace out your subject and basically color it in with the markers, however to get the right colors you do a layering technique, so the lightest color has one layer, the second lightest has two, the third has three and so on. each layer is a different and darker color as you go on.

the rendering I did for school turned out good, but I would not enjoy doing a lot of them, those things can be very time consuming and I get bored personally.

kudos on the group buy, hope it works out well. and you should all appreciate what he's doing for you, cause believe me it takes a skill and a lot of free time to do it right. I don't even think what he's charging justifies the work.
Posted By: esveetee Re: Interest: Marker rendering of your cars - 08/10/05 11:43 PM
btw, if all of his drawings are as good as the one he has at the top, then he has some VERY good quality work.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT SKYLINE'S SPOILER?

Looks good otherwise. I'll see if I can come up with a good picture

PM with picture sent. How do we get the money to you?
Posted By: Loco4G63 Re: Interest: Marker rendering of your cars - 08/12/05 03:39 AM
Paypal addy hectik79@yahoo.com

If you need to send by regular mail....PM me.
Posted By: wa2tuff Re: Interest: Marker rendering of your cars - 08/12/05 01:41 PM
You have been Paypal'd. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

I be more interested in this GB ink'd then the other going. Dont mean to start a flame, but I didn't think the other rendering in pencil was anything special IMO.

Could you please (if possible post another rendition of a car), another couple would sell me on sending in money for a recreation.

Thanks!

Here is a quick one I did for my brother...didn't take as much time as the Skyline.

Posted By: Loco4G63 Re: Interest: Marker rendering of your cars - 08/13/05 03:39 PM
Anybody interested:

You can send pictures by mail; just PM for addy. Also if need be you can send check/money order through mail if you don't have paypal.
That, is exactly what I was looking for. This is perfect since I am too lazy atm to ink or PS my car, plus another person's concept is great. I fully endorse this GB (and my word is gooooooollldddd...i lovvvveee gooooollllldddd)

Paypal will be sent this weekend along with photo.

If you didn't mean to start a flame, then you should have known better than to say anything along those lines at all.

I know Hector's work is superior to mine. He has been doing his longer. Sure, I have my reservations about him starting his GB around the same time as mine when it was the first time I've been able to give back to the CEG community, but I'm going to try and not let it bother me. However, it doesn't mean my artistry doesn't take a lot of hard work and concentration or that it's "not anything special" simply because it's not in color.

-SAV

EDIT: Hector, don't you have marker sketches of the racing Ford Mondeo? I could swear I've seen them on here before. Perhaps posting those would help give those in your company an idea of what theirs will look like.

I didn't think your girlfriend was anything special; but who knows, maybe SAV can make a looker out of her yet--on paper anyway.
It'd be funnier if you wern't trying to diss on the internet.
Ironic statement given the undeserved, baseless, criticism you gave of SAV's work.
Posted By: DanMyers Re: Interest: Marker rendering of your cars - 08/15/05 02:59 PM
They look great man! If only I had an SVT or something more than an SE Sport to have rendered, I'd be all over it.

$25 is a steal! For your time alone it's worth more than that...atleast twice that i'd say. I mean look at it this way, you're working for less than minimum wage!!!

Anyway, I'm down and i'll hopefully be sending you some $$$ and a pic of my car soon.

Super!! I can't wait to see it when you're done. I got the first one framed along with a Ford emblem from the trunk and a "Powered by SVT" plaque from Bill Jenkins. I want to do the second one with the "SVT" from the trunk and an engine plaque from Pete's group buy.

I got mine yesterday. I'm very pleased with it. I'm gonna have it framed with an engine plaque, a grille emblem covered with "Contour SVT" in Ford blue from parkedcar, and an SVT key fob from SZ06.

Anyone who wants high quality work for an extremely reasonable price should contact Hector. You won't be disappointed. It's great to have people like Hector and Mike (parkedcar) to deal with. You can trust them.
Hector's a stand up guy. He we doing free drawings on napkins at Gibson's in HSV a while back.

Eric, I am surprised you still remember that.

With all these awesome drawings it makes me want to get back into the swing of things. I haven't created sketches in a long time. I think the last one I did was when I was trying to see what I wanted to do with my Camaro. I drew up my goal and made it a reality. I haven't done that with the CSVT as it's my daily driver and I really didn't want to get to involved with it... but that's changing more and more everyday. I think I'm going to make a custom hood for this car just as I did with my Camaro... I'll draw something up so you guys can see what I'm talking about.

Nice work by the way!!
