Eibach's are $211.00 + shipping

Sweet maybe I will order some B&G's instead of coilovers then.

The Autobahn spring are the lowest drop for a tour.
~Alex
when's the deadline for this GB?

Be careful here.....the autobahn drop differs for pre\post 98 models. Pre98's can get a level 2.25" drop, but the post 98's can only get a 2.25" front\1.6" rear drop. If you want the level drop, you need to get the pre-98 kit and pre-98 front struts. Either that or try and get b+g to sell you a mixed set of springs with pre98 2.25" rears, and post 98 2.25" fronts(i tried total PITA).
I have looked into this extensively(check b+g's website if you want, i've sent e-mails and looked into ordering miked sets) but they don't offer a level 2.25" kit of post 98's.
just an FYI
Josh
When ordering CALL, he needs to be able to talk to you to get the necessary information
~Alex
luckily for me i can use the post98 kit...like the rakish look over flat look
Damn I think that's too good to pass up...Yup, it is.
I hope to have the money together in about 3 weeks.

yup, me too. unless mine comes with a KPH main and still with MPH on the inside. if i can get it my way (burger king style), ll be in 110%. granted, i have little faith that will happen.
good luck to all of you "regular" bastids with mph speedos!

Yeah, those kits are great, but with a $550 GB on 4 Konis, and B&G available at $161, that's still an $80 premium for "Koni" springs. Yes, I know all about the "matched spring" mantra, but personally, I don't buy it with Konis. The struts are adjustable, and can typically handle (IIRC) anything from "stock" spring rates up to 300lbs/in or maybe more.
Now, if somebody managed to get a GB going that brought the price down, it would be more worth it. But, you're not going to get SPM down below their intro price of $791, IMHO, so unless you find the kits somewhere else... (Shox.com? Corey?)

My GC's spring rates are exactly at 300lbs non-progressive. I guess Ima be working my Koni's overtime .

Wow those are only $650. I might have to try those out at that price.

Thats a very good price I'll be geeting those very soon.
With the Koni struts, are the rear struts adjustable?
that si a great deal wow. And good price nice!!!
Well I just ordered the Koni Sport Kit from shox.com and can't wait to get them. If anyone else is interested in ordering them, make sure to ask for Mark.

Thanks. It looks as if the site is under construction so didn't really get any info. I suppose it's just another brand. This is the first time I've heard of them. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with B&G?
B&G isn't bad, they have good quaility and obviously are very wallet friendly compared to most others, the Eibachs are sh!tty because they will sag badly over some time. I'm gunna be ordering the B&G's once i get paid next.
~Alex
just ordered my B&G's
Did you get the sport or autobahn springs?
Sport, Autobahn is way too low for me, cause i gotta drive my car year round
and this way i'm just a minor snowplow.
~Alex
I'm just letting everyone know that this GB is STILL GOOD.
~Alex
What does the autobahn springs look like from a side view? I need a new suspension, but I'm not sure what springs to go with. I have a couple 12" subs in the trunk, so I was thinking H&R for their "raked" stance, but then I read about the autobahn front to rear drop on the 98+ 'tours. Any help or opinions? Stock suspension:
from what i hear if you get the autobahn springs you'll get a rake, because for some reason on post-98's you get that 2.25 drop in the front but only the 1.6 in the rear. It was explained earlier in this thread.
~Alex
I was looking at this as well. But some quick questions (because I'm used to truck suspensions, and lowering them.) Are these prices per corner? Is this a price for a strut and a spring? Do the Eibachs really sag that badly? I'd like the 2.25" drop, but it sounds like a pain.

The posted prices in my first post are the prices per set (all four springs). The price is jsut for springs, Eibach's are a big hit or miss issue but the most common result is a miss of satisfaction. the 2.5 drop isn't too bad if you can get them to mix a pair of springs, but i just went with the 1.6 because the 2.5 is jsut too much for daily driving for me, espicially in michigan.

Thanks for the reply. I have stock struts, and from what I've read it would be better to have lowered struts before putting in those springs. Looks like I'll just buy a kit with everything in it.
Does anyone know if the Koni Spring and Strut Combo Kit comes with springs already mounted? That would save quite a lot of hassle.
from what i know yes, go for it and see what happens. Daryl never set a time constraint.
~Alex
Where abouts would the shipping cost? I need something to put on my Koni's that I've had for 6 months.

I got the B+G Sports for about 190 shipped to my house.
~Alex
Hmmm...
Lemme get summore paychecks and I take a set of B&G's.

Sorry to ask the question again but now I actually NEED a suspension. Will he answer on Saturdays or do I have to wait till Monday. How soon is shipping, I would like to get everything done by SZ?
Posted above there wasn't a set time restraint, so I would call them. And I saw in another post that the eibach sag??? How could this happen (besides obvious wear)? I thought Eibach is suppose to be quality? and for the guys getting the B&G, isn't anything more then a 1-1.25 drop bad for a Tour without other new equipment??? If someone could fill me in, I would be happy :-)
I will be getting these in a few days and was wondering if anyone had pics of the B&G's

As for the GB, just give him a call and see if he'll still honor it.
Sagging Eibach's is always a hit or miss, some sag badly, some not at all, i just went with B+G, and their price is much more attractive as well.

And does anybody have any info on alignment and ride with B&G autobahns?

Give that a shot, otherwise yahoo photo just sucks.
works for me but I still want to go lower than that, the se front bumper and sideskirts shouldn't have any problem
i think my car looks about that low now...lol not really but the pics don't look like an inch and half drop. I dunno. haha maybe I'll get the B&G once I get money together. I still want to know if that drop is going to be bad for the car.
I just ordered my set of B&G sport springs and this GB is still GOOD!!! Kinda sucks that Shox is in my home state of CA but the springs have to be drop shipped from B&G in NY but for $161 plus shipping this is just rediculous. Came out to $192 with $13 dollars CA sales tax, if you live out of CA this would be like $178 shipped, insanity.
Awesome to know that this is still on. I am in need of springs and struts.

I'm going to seriously look into this. I ride on stock 14" wheels right now,but will be upgrading to 15" SE rims in a matter of weeks. My car sits like a 4x4 right now and the gap between the fenders and wheels is disgusting.
Thanks for setting this up! Daryl was a really big help. My parts come in next week so I'll be dropping my car 1 inch by the end of June. Oh happy day!
Glad he's still honoring our GB, hopefully this is something that will stay afloat even longer, I've had it going for quite some time haha.
I'm pulling a 10 month old thread out into the open again. I emailed Daryl this morning to see if this GB is still good.
I'm in need of replacing my suspension and it would be nice to save some $$$.
And this GB was left open ended so it should be closed or updated depending on the response I get back.
Like the original post stated he never gave me an ending date, but he seemed like a very cool guy so i don't think you will have any issues getting them at a discount.
Well I'm interested too so let us know

We can sell this combo for $729.00 plus shipping.
That was the reply I got to my email. I'm assuming he means Koni kit with the B&G springs.
I'm in the middle of doing classwork, but I'll email him again and see about the price of just springs.
Just to let everyone know:
YES! This group buy is still good as of 4/19/06.
B&G springs are $161.40 + shipping.
B&G Springs and Koni Struts are $729.00 + shipping.
Thanks to Daryl @ Shox.com
Damn might have to pick up some B&G's to get rid of this front end sag

Damnnnnnnnnnnn!! Goooooooddd freaking deal!!!
saved favorite. that drop with 18s looks perfect. i think the intrax drop would be just a tad too much compared to the b&g. now i gotta find pics of the koni sport kit with 18s to compare.
alex, how does the car ride? i have koni gcs so anything will ride smoother. i'm looking to make my daily driver more comfortable (i dont mind a firm ride but i cant deal with linear springs anymore). maybe if it was just a weekend car but it isnt. i dont want bat kit nor bilsteins so its koni/hr or koni/bgsport or koni sport kit. the roads around me just suck so the gc's have finally started to get to me.
