Well, it's been a very long, stressful and arduous process, but here it is!

=Surprise!!!=
There are TWO 2005 CEG Calendars!
I felt that there were too many good pics and decided to go the extra mile and make two versions.

=Participants=
I would like to thank everyone that submitted pics to be in the calendar - just because you are not in it does not mean your car sucks, it's just that your picture was not chosen by the panelists to be in the calendar. An apology to those that were initially going to be in, but could not come up with higher resolution pics.

=Panelists/Judges=
Thank you to the 6 longtime CEGers who were panelists/judges and chose the pictures to be in the calendar.

=Layout/design=
A very big thank you to mikeyboy for doing all the design and layout for the calendar.

=Cost=
I am making no money/profit from this calendar.
Base price was $15 per calendar. I added $1 per calendar to be donated to keep CEG up and running. I'm sure everyone agrees that it is a worthy cause.

I would strongly recommend that you pruchase for yourself and other CEGers you see frequently to save on shipping costs.
If you order is over $50, use the Coupon Code 5CPGIFT and get $5 off!

Please, don't complain about this picture is better than that picture or this should have been that month or this should be in that calendar. I did this project in my free time and it took many, many hours. I did the best I could and I hope everyone enjoys it....I'm tired...

I haven't figured out a way to Search and find either calendar, so in order to order both:

- Click on the 1st link
- Click on the Calendar to proceed to order page
- Click "Add to Cart"
- Come back here to CEG
- Click on 2nd link
- Click on the Calendar to proceed to order page
- Click "Add to Cart"
- Your shopping cart should now show both versions in your shopping cart.
- Check out

One person I forgot to thank is unisys12 for his design on the v.1 logo.

Echo what everyone else has said. Many thanks to everyone involved. I'll be ordering at least 2 each. As far as donations go, I'm amazed that those who make CEG what it is don't ask for donations more often. Either they know how to stretch a dollar or CEG'ers rise to the occasion when asked to. I can only remember one time since I joined when we were asked for help. Anyway, super job!! Thanks again.

PS. I am truly honored to be in the company of such beautiful rides. Thank you very much.

Is your debit card a Visa? If so, you shouldn't have any problem. You can use your debit for pretty much any credit card transaction.

Thanks mark... yeah its Visa. I am still a little concerned though becuase they did not send me the confirmation email or whatever it was?

Photography is more than just backgrounds. Lighting, angles, and contrast also play a major roll in artistic interpretation. Based on the artistic presentation, all of the pictures have tremendous merrit.

Now as for playing favorites, my car is in there.
1. I've never met these guys
2. I don't think I've ever purchased anything from them before
3. I don't have any kind of social/cyber connection to any of them
4. I don't even know the secret club handshake or password.

But my picture still made the cut. Go figure.

Just to simplify my point for your limited social experience...

This is not the venue to go bashing or making negative points. PM the guys if you're not happy, submit more pix that you consider worthy of the project to make a better product next time, and if you really get all bummed out about stuff like this -

Seek counseling and remember to take your medication before you log on to CEG.

In 3 hours! Better hurry! Since they are sold on Cafe Express I would think you could order one any time your heart desires. Next summer might be a little late to get use out of it though.

I got the Pop-up confirmation only...the e-mail was a Welcome to CafePress marketing piece. The pop-up confirmation says that they do not bill the credit card until the item is shipped. That works for me..

I got a confirmation.

PS I ordered 7

dont worry about charlie...he is trying to kick the smoking habit and is a little testy. it seems as if employers give you tests and if you dont pass them they wont give you a job teaching little kids. he will be ok. i will vouch for him being a really cool dude.

as for ordering 7....i know they are cool and everything but, are you out of your freggin mind?! that is 140 bucks in calendars!

haha I have supportive family. they all want one. and I wanted two for myself.

yeh thats 112 USD, I still have 24 USD and shipping. oh and I'm canadian so thats gotta go up more

I'll vouch for Charlie too. He's just on the rag.
Posted By: stilov Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/20/04 04:51 AM
I agree somewhat with Charlie...it just looks like some of the pictures are more scenic and belong in a nature or photographic calendar...not a performance car enthusiasts' group calendar
I think SVT Pete did an awesome job and I appreciate all the work as well, but the CEG calendar I have in my office now gets a "WOW!!, That's a Contour?" comment every month...this year's wouldn't get the same response.
Posted By: unisys12 Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/20/04 05:01 AM
Glad everyone likes the calanders. I am also stunned that my image made a cover none the less! Large props to Pete and everyone else on their work on this project.

I will not be able to order any of the calenders anytime soon, so I was wondering how long they will be avaliable?

I understand where you are coming from - I can take constructive criticism. There was no need to single out individual CEGers' pics and call them "weak". That was rude and uncalled for.

Let me explain all the factors:

1. No disrespect to this year's pics, but there were very few "WOW!" pics this year compared to last year - there were a lot of very good pics.

2. I wanted to get a variety of: colors, pre-98/98+, SVT/non-SVT, stock-mild-wild, etc. By doing so in a 12 month calendar, it would have left out many very good pics of SVTs.

3. In addition, a 12 month calendar with just the "best" pics would have limited the calendar to almost all SVTs. That's why I stretched it out to 2 calendars w/ 24 pics. Think about how many complaints/unhappy people there would hgave been if the calendar was 11 SVTs and 1 non-SVT.

4. A few members that had really nice pics just did not have any in high resolution. A perfect example is 96BlackSE who had at least 2-3 pics that were calendar worthy, but since all he had were 800 x 600, none of his pics could be included.

5. No pics from some of the best looking CEGers such as PhatSVT, OutLawdSVT, deanjoyce, dion, Qwk98SVT and Speed Demon. All of these guys have great looking cars and really know how to take pics, but unfortunately had none to submit for 2005.

6. Last year I chose all the pics in the calendar. I wanted CEG to be more involved in the process and the 24 pics that received the most picks by the 6 CEG panelists/judges made it in the calendar.

If you want to criticize the calendar, start a new thread or PM me. There's no need to do that here as I specifically asked people not to do.

I hope this clarifies and puts this matter to rest.
Posted By: OutlawdSVT_dup1 Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/20/04 02:45 PM
It's cool, and I am glad you guys got two calendars but I wish there weren't any duplicates so someone else could have a chance to be in it. Don't ask me where just look at the cal.

Posted By: HITMANinMI Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/21/04 12:40 AM
I have a question, does the photo say whos car it is? Just think it would be neat to know.

Posted By: Buddy Palumbo Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/21/04 01:44 AM
If ya look closely at the pics on the website , it shows names on each pic . I'd have to assume that they're there on the calendar pics .

I was just joking about that skit lastnight! "I'm CRAZY protractor face guy, now GIVE ME SOME CANDY!!"

I must be old or sup'm. I don't find that skit/character funny. I do like Adam though, he is a funny guy.

AND..... one was FUBAR to the point I threw it away. It wasn't because of shipping, the package was fine.

Sorry for clutering up the post with being unhappy with the quality of something I bought in a GB in the GB forum. Continue blabbing about Adam Sandler

Swazo, please PM me with details and I will look into it. FUBAR is not acceptable.

If anyone else has any problems with the quality of the calendar, please PM me so I can contact CafePress and get it straightened out.

uhh yah, I'd like to see this resolved to. as I have 7 coming to canada, and dont really want to have to deal with this kinda stuff. please keep us informed as to what happened and how it was resolved.
Posted By: Swazo Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/25/04 08:08 AM
I hope one batch didn't go bad, but my "bad" copy was the one with the CEG logo on the cover.

BUT, the other calander is uber sweet and is hanging up already! That's right, who needs 2005 yet?! I also had good luck with last year's calander and didn't hear of anything like this happening, so I hope for everyone else's sake this is just a single mistake.
Posted By: m!key Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/26/04 07:24 PM
well, i just got home to my 2005 calendar and it is perfect. it is the same one as swazos with the ceg type logo on the front. you must have just got a bad one. email cafepress maybe and see what the deal is. i will scan some of the pics in later if you want me to. right now it is time to fry the turkey for our second thanksgiving.

dang ... I vowed to buy one this year ... and have little money to spend at the current time ... hopefully the store will still be up in a month or so? ...
Posted By: KingpinSVT Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/27/04 07:40 PM
just ordered 3. one of each for me, and one of the second one ( ) for my dad. looks like my sister wants one too, so i guess ill be ordering another one soon!
Posted By: akrump47 Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/27/04 09:09 PM
I got mine as well. Nice design/layout, though it is more "artistic" than last years calendar.

My only quip is that print quality isn't all that great, especially for a $16 calendar.
Posted By: Loco4G63 Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/27/04 10:02 PM
I got mine.....don't like the fact it is a CONTOUR Enthusiasts Group calendar....and it has a damn Mondeo in it! Don't get me wrong...it is a nice ride....but WTF!?
Posted By: KingpinSVT Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/27/04 10:45 PM
i think his pics are sweet. and from the main site page, we are described as "simply the best place for information on the Ford Contour, Mercury Mystique, or European Ford Mondeo." so why wouldnt he be allowed? why would you even say that?

Ordered #1, looks perfect!

Cheers mate, I didn't mean to step on toes or anything, just thought I'd try my luck along with everyone else. I know personally that we welcome the contour in the UK clubs, its nice to be different.
Posted By: akrump47 Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 11/29/04 04:58 PM
Yes Exactly - the Mondeo is essentially the same car but nicer! It has every right to be in the calendar

Trek your pictures are some of the best on there - and I'd much rather have a mondeo than a contour if they were offered here.

Don't mind Hector. He's just bitter because his S/C'd car is still slower than a Geo Metro.

got mine today. looks good. some of the pics kinda look like they were running out of ink in their printers, kinda washed out, not very vibrant, not sure how to explain it. overall im still pleased, though you may want to talk to cafepress and see whats up.

to all those who put this together thank you!

how long are these going to be available?? I'm probably not going to be able to pick one up till the end of the month.

Got my 2 copies yesterday. Outstanding! Especially that June picture in Calendar #1.

I liked the calendar so much that I went to Atlanta & bought another Contour for my daughter. It looks like the one in July of Calendar #1. Very pretty car...

Posted By: TourDeForce Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 12/06/04 02:40 PM
Actually, it was kind of you to grace our calendar with pictures of your Mondy. I know if I had a choice between the two vehicles, I'd get a Mondeo. They're built better over there...

Hey, I had my calender delivered this weekend (friday). It looks awesome! My wife laid the dis, but when I gave her some other ideas of how to spend my time on the internet she was much happier .

It's in the workshop waiting for January.

Glad to hear no one else has had problems with the calendars.

Let's keep this going!

Thanks to those that have purchased them to support the site.

Got my calanders today. I love em. They look really nice. When the 1st of the month comes they will both go up and my 2004 CEG one will be on the shelf.
Posted By: Mystique97 Re: 2005 CEG Calendars - 12/23/04 11:43 PM
Hey, next time I get paid I think I'm definatly buying one, or the Monday after Christmas, because I could use a cool calender for next year...all I got is a calender free from Arby's and its a WB(the TV channel)calender...eh it was free, can't beat that, and it has coupons for Arby's too.

Got my calendar today for X-Mas.. It turned out really nice! CEG 2004 Calendar coming down, CEG 2005 Calendar going up! Good job with the G/B Pete, and thanks to everyone that had a part in making these happen.
