Only when I have my AC on does this happen. When I hit the gas there is a high pitched squeal but only for a second of two. Car is 4 cyl atx. Any help?

hey slick it sounds like you have a belt tension prob or you need a new belt or the slave on the ac compressor is going out. I would venture to guess that you need a new belt and maybe a new tensioner. The ac compressor puts quite a load on the engine when you engage it. causing the belt to slip and thats why you are hearing the squeak sound.
