Sorry to put this all in one but here we go. A few months ago(April or May). On a reallyhot day my temp guage stopped working and I could smell rad fluid. I did the test on the temperature sender gauge switch (pu the negative on the terminal) and nothing. Is there another way to test or look at? Now is it possible that that sensor and the coolant temp sensor could beleaking? That is where it looks like the fluid is coming from. Also does any one have the how to or links to do the engine mounts? Thanks.

You should be able to test the sensor for Ohms. More than likely the water temp sensor is cooked.
Change the thermostat and gasket / o-ring while the housing is apart.

Engine coolant temperature sensor from Autozone

Temperature gauge sender unit here

Mounts info is located in engine and drivetrain section of Autozone

I agree, it is one of these two parts.
Also insure you don't have air lock in the cooling system.
