Lately, like the past few days i've been hearing a noise coming from my rear end, which sounds like there's something loose in my trunk. I have looked through my trunk countless times and taken out anything that was loose. I'm 90% sure there is nothing else hidden in there (only place i wasn't able to check was on the other side of the spare). Anyway, if i don't find anyything in there when i go in and check again, Is this a symptom of some sort of problem? It seems to be driving fine, but it's just trippin me out. I'm at 85k on my car, could it be any suspension components reaching the end of their life? help greatly appreciated. - nick

Check for a broken coil spring. Rear sway bar could be loose as well. Spare tire and jack secure in the trunk?

Check your third brake light. I had that problem thought it was in trunk. Turned out to be the brake light loose and making noise. Have someone put pressure on it while driving.

A loud pop when i first start moving everyday. only way to avoid it is to start moving very gently and let the car sit for a sec, but even then it's sometimes only quieter. Simultaneously hearing a noise coming from the rear, sounds like something is loose in the trunk (i've removed everything from the trunk, nothing there to move anymore). could the two be related? any help appreciated

Sometimes a rattle from back there is from the sway bar mounting brackets not holding the sway bar very well, especially if the brackets of the subframe mounting area has become distorted.

Fix what's wrong. It may just need a new bracket, or it may need to have the subframe beefed up. Start with an inspection.
